Two Days Prior To Chapter 1
My brother glanced across to me, as I sat tapping my finger against the window. My sister sat staring straight ahead, a blank look on her face. Boredom had crept in.
My headphones were in, specifically so I couldn't hear anything. I had been attempting to read, but the car ride was too bumpy.
Today was the day we would move into our new house, and I was kind of nervous.
Andrew would probably try to get the bigger room-as always-but I didn't want to let him-as always-so I was pretty much ready to run as soon as we got there. The car didn't even need to stop before I got out. This time would be different.
(Charlotte didn't need to worry about getting the bigger room. She always got the middle-sized one.)
Not a moment too soon, the car turned into a neighbourhood which looked quite... friendly.
We turned towards the house, and as my mom was still parking, and I opened the door and ran out.
Dad made Andrew wait until the car was parked, and he'd unlocked the house, before Andrew could get out the car.
I was in and upstairs before Andrew had even got up the driveway.
This time, this time I would get the big room.
I'd made the decision during the drive, but only now realisation dawned on me. I would get the big room.
The master bedroom was at the end of the hallway, opposite a room.
I peaked in-the room opposite was tiny.
There was a door in the middle of the hallway, but I guessed that would be the middle-sized room.
I checked, and it was.
There was another room, and the opposite end of the hallway.
Andrew was in the door. He was coming upstairs.
I ran to the third room. My room.
I yelled out that I'd picked my room, and I could've sworn that I heard Andrew start to hate me.
But I'd finally got the bigger room. Two Days Later (Same Day As The First Chapter)
My room was all sorted. My life wasn't really, but when was it ever?
I was dressed and ready to go. Andrew called my name, and yelled that we were leaving to get the bus. Charlotte had already left.
The bus. That's something I definitely wasn't looking forward to.
But I went. I walked downstairs, grabbed an apple-as it was all I had time to do-and left. I had my bag with me, but it was pretty much empty.
The bus stop was at the end of our street, so that was easy. We were one of the last stops (supposedly) too.
That kind of sucked, because it meant that I'd have to deal with getting on the bus and everyone staring at us-because we were the new kids.
I almost grabbed hold of the charm dangling from my neck-to hold it as a way of calming myself-but instead I tucked it into my shirt.
Charlie grabbed my hand, and squeezed it in a way which was almost reassuring.
Andrew pointed out the bus, which had just come around the corner. He stepped forward, and the two of us followed his lead.
The bus stopped, and we got on.
That's when I noticed it, the strange feeling.
There was a...AN
Hey everyone. Sorry for the poor quality of that chapter-and how long it took to come out. I had a hard time thinking from Evan's Point Of View.
