We're the kids our parents warned us about, the ones withscars on their arms,
Truths on their lips,
But lies in their eyes.
They told us to stay away, be good, be kind.
But alcohol soothes,
Cigarettes calm,
And blades release.
We were kind to everyone but ourselves.
