I sit outside in the warm summer breeze bringing in the smell of the sea. Even if the sea was miles away, seagulls and the salty smell still reach the high school. I watch as other teens hangout and played on their phones. Two of my friends walk over. Jill, a five foot four sassy teenager. Her biggest priorities is the latest drama within the school. The only reason why I actually hangout with her is because she is in music with me. Her singing is a talent most wished they had. The guy who walks beside her is her boyfriend, Eric. A typical Jock who is to dumb and perverted to do anything else but football.
"Hey Abigail" Jill said, and sits down right next to me. "Seems like you didn't grow much since middle school" she said, referring to my breast. I frown and leaned back "Whatever, not like they'll help me in anyway" I could throw up right now for just looking at these two jerks. Can't believe that I hangout with them "seems like your pumped up for high school". Jill laughs "I'm exited for the party's, not for school" Eric just shrugged.
The bell rung, signally that its time for class. I head inside, glad to find that my homeroom wasn't far from my locker. As the day goes by, I find how most of my teachers either are cool with anything or hate everything about a teen. At lunch I sit outside, writing music instead of socializing. After lunch we're electives, which got to choose realistic art but I am required to do gym. At the end of the day there was an assembly for club. It was held in the gym, which made it crowded and hot. I fond a photography club. The people seemed nice so I decided to sign up. After just hanging around I fond a small booth that said 'creative writing' and no one seemed to care for it. I decided to go over. "Hi, I'm Abigail" there was a girl that sat there, her head in a book. She had black glasses with blue on the edges. Her hair was short and died bright purple. When she saw me she stood up, dropping the book as she did so "Hi! I hope you plan to join. The club really needs some new writers. Are you a writer by chance?!?" Her explosion of excitement took me by surprise. She talk so fast I barely knew what she said "I'm not really a writing but the club sounds much more interesting than the other clubs" that set her off. She then wouldn't stop talking about how much fun writing is. I pretty much just zoned out "...so if you plan to join, sign here" she handed me a pen. I stood there for a few seconds before writing my name. "Thanks" I say awkwardly "and uh..I prefer the name Ash" She looked at me for a second, glaring until she announced "I'll make sure the other members call you that. And tomorrow after school is our first meeting this year. So you better be there!" She gave a bright smile and I just couldn't help but smile back.
