Prologue

Hi my name is Violet Wright I'm 16 with long,wavy, brown hair.

I've had a hard life my father left us when I was 9 and my mother passed three years ago in a car wreck.

Since then I've been living with my best friend Anne Sharp.

We've been friends for our whole life we've more like sisters than friends.

People who just meet us always think we're twins but we know we're not, but sometimes we think that we are.

I swear we can read each other's minds without even saying anything I swear that we are related.

Anne had an harder life than I did her parents had gotten divorced when she was 6.

Her dad was an alcoholic who was abusive to her, but some how she can be that happy-go-lucky girl she has always been.

She now lives in an apartment with her mother and myself.

We all have jobs so we can support her mother.

Her mother is disabled so she can't work but we some how manage to survive.

Her mother Victoria always told me even when my parents were alive that I was the second daughter she never had.

She was pregnant with a little girl but she was miscarried.

Victoria was depressed for a whole year and Anne wasn't so happy either.

So I liked being the other daughter so I at least I know that I can fill some of the whole she has.

I'm just happy that I am part of another family that supports me even thought we are not related to one another.

It just makes me smile at the thought that we are one big real family with them and I love them.
