Night overcame the city of New Orleans, and the streets in the French Quarter were lit up with lights of all different colors. Music was blasting from different bars and clubs as me, Amy, Emily, and Nolan made our way to 'The Black Swan'.
There were live bands playing outside, drunk people dancing, people throwing beads, it was crazy. But for some reason, I couldn't stop smiling; this was why I loved living here. I loved the fun, creative vibes I got just walking around.
" We're here!" Amy announced, pointing up at the sign above our heads. It read 'The Black Swan' in beautiful cursive letters, and had their logo on top, a black swan," Don't just stand there! Come on!"
Amy swung open the doors to the club and pushed us all inside. I was greeted by loud music, bright lights, and of course the smell of alcohol and sweat. The club was packed with people dancing and drinking, but I felt a pair of eyes on me the entire time," Oh my god!" I heard Amy yell over the music," Look how hot the bartender is!" I look in the direction I see her pointing and spot a Greek god standing on the other side of the bar cleaning glasses. He had a low fade with a long fringe hairstyle for his black locks, and dark green eyes that could hypnotize anyone in this club," I'm going to go talk to him!"
Before I could protest, Amy was already off, pushing through crowds of dancing people," Amy wait!" called her twin sister, following after her.
This left me and Nolan alone at the entrance," Well, let's head over-" but before Nolan could finish his thought, a woman with beauty beyond comprehension comes waltzing over. Her long black hair swayed behind her shapely body, her green eyes shining brightly as she made her way towards Nolan," Hey cutie~" she chimed, placing a hand on Nolan's chest," Come dance with me."
" Excuse me, but I'm-" but Nolan was already being dragged off onto the dance floor before his protest could reach the ears of the beautiful women.
And now...I was alone...
" Great friends I got." I sarcastically say to myself, hugging my satchel close to me. I still had the feeling I was being watched and decided to tuck myself in a corner of the club to observe the room around me; I loved to people-watch.
At the bar, I could see Amy chatting away with the bartender, who wore an expressionless face but seemed interested in what she had to say. Emily sat beside her, looking bored as she sipped on her beer. Then there was Nolan, looking stiff the beautiful woman danced beside him.
I smiled slightly to myself as I continued to gaze around the crowded club. My eyes soon landed on a handsome young man standing near the bar. I felt my jaw drop at the sight of the Greek god. He had to be around 6'1 and was very well-built. His dark hair was slicked back nicely, and his outfit suited him perfectly, making him even more attractive. I just can't explain how hot this man is. Was he even human?
Realization hit me right when I began to examine his face; he was staring right at me! I immediately dropped my gaze to the floor, feeling cheeks burn red.
I must have looked like an idiot, drooling over some guy across the room. He probably thinks I'm a stalker or something. But I never felt his gaze leave me. Out of curiosity, I lifted my head up a bit.
Our eyes met from across the room, and it felt as if the world around me was playing in slow motion. Once my gaze met his, I just couldn't look away. His obsidian eyes were so...captivating. They flashed red for a moment, and before I knew it, he was in front of me.
" Hello there, beloved." his deep, husky voice greeted, causing my legs to go weak; didn't understand why my body was reacting like this, but I was unable to do anything about it as I stared into his unique-colored eyes. It felt as if I was stuck in some kind of trance as he gently grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips, kissing my knuckle," Your name?"
