I parked my car silently against the curb, shutting the engine off before exiting out of my car. I lock my vehicle before securing my keys in my pocket. I stare up at Angel's apartment building then scan the street, seeing no people insight which is surprising since this is the French Quarter.

With no one around, I use my advanced abilities to jump up to Angel's balcony, being as quiet as possible. I gaze through the balcony window, seeing that all his lights were off. Assuming Angel was asleep, I slowly open the balcony door, guessing that he left it unlocked. Once I stepped inside, I was hit with my beloved's mouth-watering scent.

A pleasurable shudder ran down my spine as I was enveloped in Angel's indescribable fragrance, clogging my sense momentarily. Shaking my head slightly to hopefully clear my thoughts, I closed the patio door behind me and slowly creep further into the house.

My dark eyes scanned Angel's apartment; it was just as I imagined his place to be. The house seemed to show off my beloved's creative personality with the items placed and hung around his apartment, even though it had a very simple feel to it. Angel had a light color scheme which helped give his home a wonderful flowy sense.

A faint smile painted my lips as my eyes gazed up and down the walls, admiring the pictures Angel had hung up there. Some were of him and his friends, others were of paintings he must have done himself. I reached my hand out and softly traced one of Angel's artworks, trying to picture in my mind how my beloved must have looked while painting it. The painting held much sadness in it, so it must have been during a time of great pain. I could clearly picture Angel with tears in his eyes, his hands shaking as he painted this beautiful piece of art.

The sound of, what I assume is, a guitar falling broke me out of my thoughts. My head snapped in the direction of the commotion, finally noticing an unfamiliar scent faintly mixed into my beloved's which causes my entire body to tense.

With my guard now up, I slowly stalk my way towards the room that I had heard the item fall. The sound of muffled curse words entered my range of hearing as I neared the door, Angel's scent becoming stronger; this must be his bedroom.

"-oh fuck...I better not have broken it..." A gruff voice muttered to himself, though I was clearly able to hear them with my advanced hearing. Lurking closer to the bedroom door, I notice that it was cracked open a smidge and carefully peered into Angel's room," Where is he?! He should be at home by now..."

My dark eyes land not upon my beloved's angelic figure, but instead a burly-looking man standing beside Angel's bedside. I hold back a growl that threatened to escape me as I continue to observe the man from afar; for all I know, this could be one of Angel's friends, and I did not want my beloved to have any reason to resent me.

But Angel has never mentioned any other friends besides Amy, Emily, and Nolan. And seeing as it was the middle of the night and Angel was nowhere in sight, this man was an intruder. Standing straighter than before, I slowly push open the door and clear my throat, making myself known to the stranger. The burly man whips around, a deep growl erupting from his chest.

   A werewolf.

" Who the fuck are you?!" The man exclaims, crouching ever-so-slightly to prepare to attack.

" I could be asking you the same thing," I state, glaring at the man as I take a couple strides towards the angry werewolf," Who are you and why are you in my beloved's house?"

" Beloved..?" He questions, taking a large whiff of the air before looking back at me with hatred burning in his dark eyes," You're a fucking vampire..."
