A rustle of leaves could be heard in the distance. It almost sounded like an animal was scavenging the area, but Chase knew this was no wolf. More like a fox, but spiritually. Physically, he knew very well who this thief was.

There it was. The ancient red feather, the one he had been searching for. Her one. On the top of her sparrow's hat. He needed proper details if he was going to draw her. She couldn't see him but he knew for a fact he could see her.

Her bow was steady. She was just in range. Just a little longer until her target shows his dangling face. There he was. Obigon. A nice, yet spiteful deer. Chase loved him, but knew this meant everything for her.

Spunk!

Clean shot. Perfect. Right in the heart.

The girl felt proud as she leaped out of the bushes. Surely this will do as distraction! The King never felt prouder about eating deer. Especially when it was hard to find good meat like that around here.

She knew right when she hit it, it was not some tangy fleshy meat. It was juiced with flavour. Rare meat. Chase smiled. He knew what the girl's next move was, for he had been prepared to experience it.

A few minutes later, what seemed to be a confrencial meeting in the woods with the nobles, may in fact had turned into a scruffy King and his followers looking for some grub. They did look like dogs searching for

kibble.

"Oh my! Surely this will do good for the feast I'll have tonight!" The king cheered.

"But we have much food in the castle, your Majesty. Shan't we give the commoners some? The taxes have gotten them broke. " The scribe asked.

"To hell with the commoners! I don't care about them! While my brother is away on that trip, I am acting as King! So do what I say!"

It was true. The real King was on a roaring journey, and he wouldn't be back for some time. Just enough time for our thief to have fun with the Prince, who is acting as King."

While they were nestled at how graciously exciting it was to find some meat as rare as this, the thief sprinted. She was so fast Chase found it hard to keep his eyes fixated at her figure.

Brown hair, green village shirt, shorts that ensured her freedom from the frilly skirts nobles wore. Her cloak was tied to her, but the hood was off. A strap went across her shirt, and a bag of arrows hung in them snuggly. She went into the greedy King's carriage and took out a bag of gold.

With a dashing swift, she took an arrow out from her bag,and engraved the word Hood on the ground and stuck the arrow on there. She made a run for it. To the village.

After months of the King rising the taxes, she had enough. So did the others. But this loot wasn't for her own needs, it was for the real citizens. That's what she did. Stole from the rich and gave to the poor.

Chase smiled as she ran out of there and the King had just found out about his stolen gold, which was technically the good of the citizens. Chase knew something not everyone knew, and he was happy he did.

That thief. She wasn't just any commoner, she was Hood.

Robin Hood.

"Curse you, damn HOOD! I will catch and I will kill you!" The 'King' hollered.

Chase's smile disappeared and he remembered the real reason he was here.

He had to find her, he had to set things right.
