Chapter 8: Eye Witnesses

                                        Janessa's POV

I walked in first with the flashlight. When I directed the light towards my bed another strong wind occurred. I flashes the flashlight towards the window to see if that's where it was coming from, oddly the window was closed.

"I suddenly went from scared to terrified." RiRi said.

Another strong wind came. I ran to the light switch and tried to flick it on, but the power was out. 

"This is worst than the scary movies." Tiff said.

"I wanted to watch a scary movie, not be in one." Nay added.

 There was a bone chilling laugh that was towards my bed. All of the girls, including me screamed. Another swift wind came towards us, and whatever it was took my flashlight right out of my hand. We all screamed again. I looked towards my bed and saw red glowing eyes looking straight towards me. I screamed.

"What!?" Nay asked.

 "Look towards my bed!" I squealed.

 They all did and they screamed too.

 Soon the glowing eyes began to walk closer and closer to us. The best instinct for us was plain and simple, RUN. We all ran down the stairs, feeling whatever the presence was on our heels. Then we felt 3 other strong winds coming towards us. I opened the front door and ran to what seemed like the only option, the forest. 

 All of us girls split up. I ran straight into the middle of the forest out of breath. I tried to catch my breath and fathom what just happened. Right at that moment, a gust of wind went by. I jumped a little and looked everywhere around me. Soon another wind came by, and this time a person grabbed my from behind. I screamed super loud hoping somebody could hear me. I know nobody could because of my poor choice of location, but it was worth a shot.

 The guy put his hand over my mouth. I kept struggling to get out of his bone chilling cold embrace.

"Shhh." The guy said. "It's okay, I'll keep you nice and safe."

 I let out a breath of relief.

"Sike, I'm just gonna take some of, or maybe all of your blood away from you, depending on how hungry I am. You know what? Since you like to run so much, we should play tag! Yeah I like that idea! I can give you a 15 second head start and then I'll chase ya! Ready 1, 2 , 3!" He said as he let me go to run.

I immediately ran. The forest was hitting against my skin left and right, leaving behind tiny scars on my arms. By the looks of it, I was running towards the graveyard. Then I noticed when I arrived my 15 seconds were up, the crazy guy could be anywhere. I was afraid that I was gonna die at the age of 14. I haven't even fulfilled my life yet, and this was no way how I wanted myself to die. 

 Soon the guy was in full view right in front of my face. He was only a few feet away from me.

 He laughed. "You are very fast! Wasn't really expecting that, but I see your full of surprises aren't ya little human." He said.

"Huh? W-what the hxll? Your human too!" I muttered with a shaky voice.

 He snickered a little bit. "Half true sweetheart. Sooner or later, wait naw sooner or sooner you'll figure out what I am. I see potential in you, you might be able to live. But I'm gonna need you to do me one little favor sweetie."

"What?"

"I'm gonna a need a little drink from you to cure my thirst." He said as his eyes began to turn from glowing red to a bloodshot red color.
