As you may know she was a farm girl, however what the show didn't include was the farm was rundown! And the family was always struggling for money. Jaime sometimes worked odd jobs to help support her family Jaime had lots of brothers and sisters she was the second oldest in the family which meant that Jaime and her brother had to look after the "young ins" which meant that she didn't have time for friends or any other activities. She couldn't even do her homework most of the time. Jaime's family was from Manhattan, she had an aunt who kept on offering money to support them. Her mother and father were very proud and kept on refusing, until her father died on 1987 because of a heart attack. Her mother soon committed suicide because she couldn't handle the pressure of taking care of the children. They were then taken in by their grandmother who couldn't really take care of kids. Jaime often helped out with other family yards to keep the family afloat. One day Jaime fell into a wood chipper and died
