I ran into the basement, opening the door for everyone to enter. (N) held the boy's arm, and shoved him on the couch. I raised a brow, jealousy bubbling within me. Wait, jealously? Dream on!
"Do you know this boy?" I asked, standing beside her. She just tensed up, glaring at him even more. "Are you out of your mind?" She quietly muttered. My eyes widened. She'd gotten that from a television drama we watched the other day.
She pointed an accusing finger at the boy. "You left me!" She got that from the drama as well. "Do you know how hard that felt? You left me with those monsters!"
"Do you have any idea what kind of shit I've been through?" She shrieked, as Dustin pulled her back. "(N)! Shit is a mean word!" He scolded. That was the last of that line. There wasn't an after. So she just stood there, thinking of something else to say. She didn't seem to think of any, so instead, she glanced at the boy with a disappointed expression. "You were my sister," She whispered.
"Sister?" We all asked in unison. The boy- or girl- stood up, glaring a little at (N). But she walked towards her, engulfing her with a hug. "WoAh WoAh WoAh! ThAt'S tOo HaNdSy, MaN!" We boys shrieked. I pulled her away, and Dustin grabbed (N). (N) looked rather confused. She pulled away and pointed at the boy. "Sister," She confirmed.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Lucas spat, walking up to me, squinting his eyes. "You're planning on keeping both girls in your basement?" He yelled, pushing me slightly. "C'mon, man! We don't know where else to hide them!" Dustin reasoned out, holding Lucas back. "Hide them? They aren't some kind of animal, okay? We need to look for their parents, and then find Will," Lucas muttered, looking over at the two girls who were messing around.
"We can make a fort!" Dustin suggested. I shrugged, pointing at the pillow fort I built for (N) to sleep in. "Way ahead of you, man!" He sighed, then gave me a serious look. "I meant a real fort. Like the Castle Byers? I mean, no one EVER went in there without Will's permission! We could build them a fort or some shit!" Dustin gave out his genius idea. "Yeah, like we have the time," Lucas murmured.
