Village life a new

It had been a week after the marriage of the newly reformed prince Adam and belle, life was calming down and everyone seemed to be happy with the new monarchy. Though things felt empty in the small home for three, that was because it now housed only one person now. After belle had married she had invited the two to stay at the castle, Maurice happily took the invitation as he could have his own room where he could paint and tinker to his hearts content. However, Catherine thought differently, she didn't want the newly found lavish and rich life style of her sister. No she rather be the simple farm girl in a village then be sister of a princess. The fancy dresses, the high ettiqute and class seemed to draining to keep up.

Catherine soon sighed and went to the front of their home where she tended to the Garden and chickens, minding her own business and just daydreaming of her own future romance. That was until she heard an all to familiar voice "hello Catherine! I see you stayed here in the Village..." Gaston says looking at her as she smiled faintly. "I did indeed Gaston... what brings you over here? Belle no longer lives here" Catherine teased as Gaston chuckled and shook his head. "I came here to see you obviously and see how you are holding up...." Gaston trailed off as he wanted to say more but noticed the sad expression on Catherine's face.

The poor girl was awfully lonely since the transition from a busy family of three now became a lonely family home for one. "I'm fine Gaston thank you for caring" Catherine spoke softly, this wasn't the bright girl that Gaston was use to. This was the exact opposite, he hated this side of Catherine and decided to be bold. "Perhaps I can join you for dinner tonight?" He says giving a charming smiling. This made Catherine perk up, perhaps this was the change she needed. "I would like that Gaston.... but dinner isn't until two hours from now..." She spoke as Gaston smirks and opened the gate and held out a hand to her. "Then accompany me around the village for a pleasant walk?" Gaston says trying to charm Catherine. This simple gesture cause Catherine to blush and meekly take his hand in acceptance to his offer.

With that the two soon walked together side by side making idle talk. The village in whispers and in song a reprise of belle's life song but now about Catherine and Gaston. The two were oblivious to the others around them as Catherine laughs and enjoyed Gastons grand tales of heroics. Gaston smiling and enjoying the company Catherine gives him, she was perfect in his eyes and he planned on making her his. But that would be for tomorrow, as of right now the two merely enjoyed one another company until suppertime.
