Chapter 17- The Unexpected

"Bae it's time to wake up we gotta get going." I said to shell kissing her face and shaking her lightly. I was exhausted just by trying to get a word out of her last night when I told her about the news. She has not said anything to me since then. She gave me this unmoved look and then simply said "hmm". After that she kissed me goodnight and pulled the covers over her and went to sleep. I called her name but she didn't answer. She straight ignored me like she did not want to believe what I revealed. Her reaction was starting to creep me out for real. When she gets quiet be scared. The way she processes things are unbelievable. You would think she's having an internal battle with her own mind. Quietness consumes her then she stares off making the weirdest thinking faces. I just hope she says something to me this morning. We need to figure out where to go from here!. I feel bad at the same time she had to hear this from me. Her best friend since elementary. They got years on each other. All for it to come to something like this. Sh*t sucks.

I shook her again.

"Cordell stop! Ima slap you i'm up. Hell I been up. Im starting to feel uncomfortable man. I miss sleeping on my freaking stomach. Do you know how hard it is to find a spot to be comfortable in when you got a little balloon attached to you?......yeah no.... didn't think so.... thats a woman thing anyways...." She ranted getting up from the bed heading to the bathroom.

Another thing. She avoids things she doesn't wanna talk about so she brings up ANYTHING and goes on about it. I clearly can tell she's bothered.

"Dell you know where my Nike airmax futuras are? I'm bumming it today. i'm not up for the cute look. The hell wit whoever gonna talk about me today. She said coming out of our walk in closet."

"Last I seen them they were thrown off at the entrance door probably still upstairs."

"Okay" She said heading out our room. I decided to grab her.

"Babe."

"What? Come on babe you said we gotta go.!"

"Are you going to respond to what I told you last night or you gonna act like you ain't hear me."

She paused for a moment not making eye contact with me.

"Hello....i'm talking to you." I said trying to make eye contact with her.

"Whats the sense in talking about someone who doesn't exist to me anymore?" She said trying to pull out of my grasp. I was hugging her as close as I could with her belly to my stomach. 

Damn.......Just got real....

"I know this is a lot to take in right now. With everything going on this is the last thing you wanted to hear. But it's what it is. Some just can't be trusted. Even if its your best friend or family member. I'm so sorry baby."

"Yall can do whatever the hell y'all wanna do with "That". I'm too through....Matta fact i'm maxed."

"Don't you wanna know why though?"

"Nope" She said.

"I think you do. You just in full emotion mode right now. So I tell you what. Dre is already planning to catch her when she least expect it and bring her to the warehouse and get some answers."

Shell went quiet again for a minute.

 Hell......

"No..... No....you know what scratch it all ima handle it my way." She said coming out of my grasp and heading upstairs.

Now that I got a mini me on the way things gotta get handled quickly. I had my team on the search for Coppo and his crew. Found out early this morning from a close acquaintance that He is somewhere close to up North on the boarder of Virginia and North Carolina . I had some of my men take a trip that way on search. Soon as they let me know anything I'm going to make a trip out there. I needed to also go make sure no funny business was going on near where my grandfather stays because he lives in North Carolina. Not many know that but I'm not about to take any chances right now. Dell told me this morning that Nishelle sound like she about to start her own war with Brienne saying she gonna handle it. I guess baby girl gonna let me know so we can get a start on this business with Katrell. I'm hoping soon this gets handled. I wanna see my family happy and safe again. Yes I considered Nishelle, her gma and her little sister fam too now. Anything apart of my bro is apart of me. Simple.
