I watch you standing by the window.
Still, quiet.
If I look deep enough, I think you'll reflect me.
Like a lake.
And like a lake, you will hide you depths.
I see you swathed in the words I used so expendably.
See how you accept them with a smile
Failing to hide the strain that smile put on
Your face, I miss you.
I miss your unsaid words, your warm silence,
The mere presence of yours
I crave it.
And I try to bring it
All back, but
Cannot.
