Chapter 2

I decide the third character, Shadow. Let's wait and see what he will do.

— Sonic's POV —

"Tails! Listen to me I now need..."

"That's a no if you keep containing Fleetway in your mind!"

"No Tails! He is far too dangerous for you do deal with!"

This was already the fifth time I called Tails but he kept hanging up. He told me he wanted to offer a help, but I denied since Fleetway was not what he could handle. After noticing I couldn't destroy him, he started to ignore me. I wouldn't dare calling Knuckles if he was going to beat me like a crap.

I felt like a pity. This feeling was not immediately, but gradually.

'You will be alone forever'

When I reread the dream again, I found out that I am in big trouble if he is stating the fact. Hell no! I had a bad feeling that Fleetway had a skill to read through minds. No this couldn't be happening! Containing him in my mind meant he had more access to my mind. What made thing worse was that he might have a possibility to read my past memories. My subconscious mind told me to shut down my brain to stop him from getting my feelings. Him reading my mind was really getting on my nerves!

'A run may calm myself,' I thought.

I then went into the forest, hoping a run could ease my mind.

I was wrong. While I was enjoying the wind blowing, I was actually thinking about my 'partner'.

Who could be my partner? Amy? No she's was too clingy. Vanilla? She already has a child! Rouge? I didn't want a sl*t! Shadow? Wait why his image popped into my head? I wasn't even gay!

As time went, I sensed something different. I had a feeling it's a sonic boom coming towards me. And I couldn't see it so clearly since it was so dark in midnight and that creature is way too fast. What I could only see was there were red stripes. Who the heck was running with a super-fast speed in such a late time?

'BAM!'

I should be more careful while running.

Darkness consumed my eyes.
