"This school is as strict as hell," Dahile said as he began to eat his food.

"When I went into Mrs.Sanchez's classroom I couldn't even greet my new table members before I was givin a silent lunch treat from her."

"Well, she seemed like one of those no nonsense teachers by the way she looks anyway. In my opinion she earned the award already for being the strictest teacher on  the 6th grade hall. In my class no one spoke or uttered a single word when she was in the room. To me its like she just has a dark and scary atmosphere around her the minute you start talking to her." I said as I began to eat the sandwich I brought from home.

"So, how's your friend making coming along," I asked hoping to here a better story than my own.

"Not so well since all the teachers just about are supper strict and place me in the very front of the row or in the second row with a bunch of quite kids,"

"Well this is the first day after all, there's still a chance to make a new friend tomorrow," I said as I began to get up from the lunch table since it was about time for us to head to our next period after locker break.

"Oh before I forget, here's a copy of m schedule," I said slipping a white sheet of paper in my brothers hoody.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot!" Dahile said as he exchanged our hand written copies together.

"Yes! I have seventh period with him!," I thought as a ran down the hall towards my classroom.

My fifth period classroom was where I met Ruby and her group of popular girls. This time they were around my brother who waved his hand in a gesture for me to sit with him. The minute I sat down It had appeared that Ruby was already flirting with him and giving him questionably looks when he wanted me to sit with them.

"This is my sister Maradith, and Maradith this is my new friend Ruby," Dahile said as I sat down next to him.

"Thanks I believe we have already met, it was in first period wasn't it?" I asked questionably to Ruby.

"Yes I believe so, I totally didn't expect you both to be brother and sister. You both look very much alike ."She said as my brother started showing his cutely dimpled smile.

"Thank you ," We both replied as the teacher began to walk into the classroom.

Fifth period was actually not that bad. I felt as though Ruby changed toward me but I cannot complain. Besides I still one more period to go before me and Dahile can go home. Walking out of fifth period, I got up to Dahile in the crowd and we both walked together down the musical arts hall. Once we walked in I noticed a girl who waved to me in a friendly gesture. Slightly shy I sat down next to and began talking to her about how strict the teachers were and how much we wished they would give us a little more freedom.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, what is your name?" I asked as I took out a practice book for us to share.

"My names Jessica, but you could call me Jessie so what's your name?" she asked

"My name is Maradith and my brother who is also in this class is named Dahile."

"I'm older brother you mean?" Dahile said with a wink, but I just rolled my eyes.

"I'm pretty sure I was born a minute before you besides I think we can stand for being twins anyway." I said as I looked up into his face, recognizing that I could see my own face in his with slight differences.

"True, maybe we should call ourselves the Woodpecker twins," He said laughing at the idea.

"Yeah maybe, anyway what instrument do you play?" I asked Jessie as she wiped the tears from laughter from her eyes.

"I'm a violin what about you guys?" Jessie asked pulling out her lesson booklet.

"We are both violins." Dahile said as he set up his stand and sat down.

Soon class started and Mr. Robinson paired us up with our partners for the month. I got paired with Jessie while Dahile got paired with a boy named Peter. Mostly once again the teacher talked about expectations of his class, and about the the tools we were going to need such as a cake of rosin, polishing cloth, shoulder rest, and stoppers for violins, violas, cellos, and basses. What felt like only 5 minutes we began to pack up and put away our music stands and lesson books that we didn't really use.

"What bus do you guys ride?" Asked Jessie before heading to the bus loop.

"Bus 457." We both said in Unison as we adjusted our violins in our hand.

"Aw, I ride bus 458 but at least we are next to each other." I said as we began to go our separate ways.

"See yah tomorrow," We all said as we boarded our bus.

Once on the bus the kids continued to act obnoxious as always so I sat in front of Dahile and Dahile sat behind me because, he's just a over protective brother. Once the bus started to move I anted to ask Dahile about Ruby but it was so loud he couldn't hear me so I decided to give it a rest and wait to ask him once we get home. The long day was boring but at least I got to meet one new friend and find which classes I'm with Dahile in. Hopfully as the school year progresses I might gain a few more friends and hopefully become a straight A student this year once again.
