The cute boy wasn't at the wall for the next two days. It seemed he appeared every two days, to your dismay. He was quite interesting.
Today he appeared as you were walking home again.
"Oh, hello," you greeted him casually.
"Hello~ I've been waiting for you."
"Really? Why?" You hid a blush.
"I like talking to you. You know, my family is kinda strict about me talking to people outside the people my dad selects. I'll probably have an arranged marriage for all I know," he sighed.
"That sucks," you replied. "I could never go through with an arranged marriage. That sounds awful, especially if you end up hating the person!"
He nodded. "Oh well. I don't really care for the family business anyways."
"Family business?" You inquired.
"Yeah."
You tilted your head. He shrugged.
"You know... I'm a Shimada."
You weren't really surprised. Last night you researched the recent Shimada Clan - there wasn't much information on them, as secretive as they were, but you saw an article about the two Shimada sons. Their names were Genji and Hanzo - he had to be this Genji, one of the heirs.
"You're an heir?" You replied.
"How'd you know?" He smirked. "Did you research me or something?"
"What? N-No! Nothing like that, that's creepy," you looked away. He smiled adorably.
"It's okay. If some weirdo jumped off a wall to save me then didn't tell me his name, I'd be confused too."
You shrugged. "Yeah... So you're a real ninja? Like you train?"
"Yeah. My dad and my brother Hanzo want me to carry on the family business or whatever. It's not really my thing though. Hanzo's into it, but I don't like it."
You decided not to inquire about what the "family business" was in case Genji could possibly get in trouble for telling you. Actually, just speaking with you could probably get him in deep trouble.
"That sounds so cool," you said.
"I guess it may seem that way. It's really boring when all you do is train and train, then get lectured by your dad and brother, then train..."
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that," you replied. He sighed.
"It's okay. Maybe it won't be as boring now that I've got you to talk to, hmm?" Genji smiled. You smiled back.
"I hope so."
You explained that you had to get home to finish some work, and he reluctantly said goodbye and you were off.
