My Human Mate

Chapter Two (12/21/18)

(Liam as a wolf, just imagine he has a white spot on one of his eyes, white on the top of the tail, white on one leg, and a patch on one of his ears. He also has cloudy blue eyes, as a human and wolf.)

Liam pov

"Tonight's gonna be a good night. Yeah, tonight's gonna be a good good night. I feel it!" I sang as I walked down the stairs, heading towards the kitchen.

"What's got you so happy, dear?" My mother asked when I came in.

"I found my mate yesterday mo-" I started to say but got cut off my my mom squealing loudly.

"Agh! That's amazing! What does she look like? What pack is she from? Oh, you can finally be Alpha, son!" She kept going on and on. I knew I had to stop her soon.

"Mom! She's amazing. She has dark auburn brown hair with beautiful gray and blue eyes." At least that's what I saw from the patio light last night.

"There's only one problem. She's a human. She doesn't know werewolves exist, at least I think so. I don't think I'll be able to be Alpha any earlier. I don't want her to be afraid of me because I'm a man who can turn into a wolf." I said all in one breath.

"You're not a man bro." The future beta, Zane, also my best friend, said as he walked into the kitchen.

"Yes I am! You're just jealous that I'm stronger and more handsome than you!" I yelled at him.

"At least you said more handsome! That means I am handsome but you're just saying you're more. Obviously that's a lie. Look at you." Zane said to me. I growled at him.

"At least my mate likes me in my wolf form!" I shot back. Zane's mates name is Zoe. She is also a werewolf, but when she found out Zane was her mate, she couldn't tell he was a werewolf for some strange reason.

When he saw her, his wolf got worked up from happiness and shifted. Zoe freaked out and threw a stick at him then turned into her wolf.

Zoe was still in shock, so she ran after Zane. She tackled him to the ground in under 5 seconds.

Zane shifted so he was back in human form. Zoe stayed in wolf for 2 more minutes, but then shifted back. It was hilarious just thinking about it.

"Your mate isn't a werewolf though. Which means, you can't use Zoe freaking out against me."

"Exactly. My mate isn't a werewolf, meaning she'll be terrified when she finds out. She's only a human." I have nothing against humans, it's just that they don't know we exist.

The only ones that do know are hunters. Not your ordinary deer hunters, but mystical hunters.

They hunt werewolf, vampires, fairies, hybrids, dragons, etc. I made a treaty with the lead hunter, so they're not allowed to hunt on our land or anywhere else in the state.

I pulled up into the school parking lot and got out of the car along with Zane and Zoe.

I started to walk up the steps when I smelt chocolate chip cookies and rain. My mate is close. I know what you're thinking, why haven't I noticed her before if we go to the same school? I always felt a connection to her, but yesterday I figured out she was my mate, but she always wore a hood so I didn't know what her hair or eye color was.

I looked around and at the bottom of the steps I saw my mate. I was about to go up to her when Janie, the school 'you-know-what' came up to her.

Janie started to whisper to Silver, and from the looks of it, it wasn't good. I was about to tell Janie to stop, because I'm her Alpha and I can, but Silver started to yell at her. I was furious at Janie for making my mate and her future Luna upset.
