Chapter One-

Rogue: Wild/lone Wolf      Hellion: Bad wild/lone wolf with red eyes

Liam pov

I was running in the woods. It felt so good to let my wolf out.

I heard a noise to my left. When I looked I saw a small shadow fly past. I ran after it but made sure to be quiet. The shadow ran for about 5 more minutes.

I looked around us. We were in a clearing in the middle of the woods. The wind blew and went through my straight, silky gray fur. There is a patch of white around my eye, on one of my ears, white on the tip of my tail, and I had one white leg. The rest of my legs were gray.

Suddenly, an alluring scent filled my senses. It smelled like chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven mixed with rain. Those were my favorite scents. They may be strange combinations but it smells fantastic.

'Go to the shadow.' my wolf, River, said.

'Why?' I asked him.

'Just go' He sounded excited but nervous. (Liam is still in wolf form not human form.)

I started to walk towards the figure and the scent gradually got stronger.

When I got close enough, about 5 feet away, the figure turned in my direction.

And let out a blood curdling scream.

'Mate!' River growled.

The girl screamed again and tried to stand up but slipped and fell on her butt.

'Help mate!' River yelled.

I got closer to her but she poked my eyes. At least it wasn't hard enough to hurt a lot. Or take my eyes out. I would never be able to see her beauty if that happened. I can't see her now but I know she's gorgeous.

I growled a little because she tried to run away again.

My mate whimpered and looked into my eyes with fear clear in hers.

I whined and laid down to appear smaller. She just stayed still. Slowly and cautiously I started to crawl towards her slowly with my head still down.

When I got close to her foot, I nuzzled my head against it while she was sitting.

I heard her heartbeat pick up a lot. It was pounding in my ears. Yet, it still sounded like music.

I crawled forward more and buried my head in her lap. I was going to put my head on her shoulder but I know that probably would have scared her dead.

And I don't want my mate to die.

Her heartbeat started to slow down just a tad.

She started to pet my head cautiously while muttering 'good wolf. Good wolf.'

"Alright. I'm just going to... yeah..." she said while starting to stand up. I growled a little and she sat back down the 3 inches. She has such a wonderful voice. It's like a melody.

She started to pet between my ears but still being cautious. She hit my favorite spot. It was right behind my ear.

That had me purring like crazy. I heard her giggle a little which made me put my tongue out and smile a wolf grin. But, when I did that I heard her heart pick up pace again and she started to shake some. It wasn't that cold out. But of course I'm a werewolf so, that might be different for me.
