I sighed, exhausted at the amount of paperwork I still had to do. The 35 ladies, as I had been alerted recently, had all arrived, but I wasn't to meet them until morning. I still hadn't allowed myself to think this way, to explore the thought of them all, in my home, competeing for my hand in marriage. Well, for some, I supose the crown. I pushed my brown leather chair backward, finding use in the weals at the bottom as I stood up from my desk, begining to take light, airy steps toward the silver doors that would open to reaveal my balcony that had a wonderful view over the city which would provide me a change of scenery, and some fresh air I so desperately needed. As I strode over and pushed the handles down, opening the double doors, which were mostly glass, I took in a deep breath of the crisp cool air. Closing my eyes for a moment before stepping out and gazing out across the city. I've always though it was beautiful. How everything worked together in harmony to create one picture.

"...Watch, watch, watching people pass. I'm waving through a window, ohhoh...." I heard a sweet, gentle voice sing the words beneath me. She must've been on the floor below. I recognized the song from a new musical "Dear Even Hansen" I hadn't paid much attention to it, however I had listened to that one in preticular many times. I may or may not have sung it at the top of my lungs in the shower.....

"You have a beautiful voice" I stated suddenly, my voice filled with admiration to the girl below after she had finished singing. It was true. I didn't know who it was, but her voice was like honey. Sweet and delicate.

"Oh my gosh!" The girl jumped, well, probably jumped, I could hear the sudden shock that someone had been listening in her voice. "How-How long have you been listening?" She demanded, on the line between confusion and anger.

"Oh...." I mumbled under my breath before speaking up. "I apologize. I should've announced my presence, not just.... well. You know" I chuckled, face reddening as I did. "I'm Cater." I added, not even thinking about putting "Prince" before it. Frankly, I didn't want her to know who I was, she would most likely know anyways. But on the off chance she didn't process, I didn't want to add it.

"Oh. It's–It's fine. Don't worry about it." I heard her reply, picking up on her more calm voice. "I'm Alexandrea" she added after thinking for a moment. "Well, I should probably go back inside.... after all I don't want to emberres myself more then I have already"

"Alright, I suppose I should allow you to get some sleep. But really, don't feel embarrassed. Talking to you was the highlight of my day. Mainly because my day sucked, but all the same it was a pleasure to meet you Alex" I smiled, looking down at my feet, slightly saddened to leave her, but she was some random girl. And there would be a very low chance I'd get to see her again. I didn't want to get too attached.

I heard a faint laugh below me, which I couldn't help but smile at, "Goodnight Carter." Alex called up before her shoes hit the floor and I heard the door latch shut. I sighed, wishing she'd stay. "Sweet dreams" I whispered, looking up at the sky once more before turning on my heal slowly to head back inside my room.

"Your highness," I awoke with a start, my head bolting upward. I must've fallen asleep at my desk, but there was no way I had been there longer then an hour. "Your father wanted me to drop these off to you by the end of the night." The butler who I recognized from few passings in the hallway laid a thick stack of paper down beside me on my mahogany desk, no doubtedly the selecteds information. I waved him off without a second thought, skimming my eyes across the first page. She didn't stand out to me very much, as she seemed quite bland. Alyssa, I believe her name was. I quickly moved her papers, which were paper clipped together into another stack, perhaps this would help me with first eliminations if I held the information like this.

After awhile of this I had 5 different ladies in the 'Elimated?' Stack, with 13 who seemed alright. I was quite tired of all of this fuss this selection was bringing on. Sure, I was known for my 'Player' vibe, it was known across Illéa. But this didn't mean I wanted 34 girls crying when they were sent home!

I flipped the next stack of papers closer to me, a very pretty young lady was on the cover. She had blonde hair, enfused with light brown highlights, creating a mixture that resembled caramel. She had black round glasses on, which fit her facial structure quite well. But it was the name that struck me. For the name was Alexandrea.
