Chapter 2

I was startled out of my sleep by the bouncing on my bed. I slowly blinked my sleepy eyes and as my eyes adjusted to the light, my brother's bouncing form came to view. Normally, I would lash out at people for disrupting my sleep. But this is Natsume. He has a free pass. He can wake me up anytime.

"Why are you here so early?" tanong ko habang hinihilamos ang aking mga kamay sa aking mukha.

"We're swimming!" he said enthusiastically.

"Right now?" I asked.

"Yep. Right now!"

Another thing about Natsume... he's a never ending ball of energy. Where he gets his energy is beyond me. I just learned to go with the flow when it comes to him. So essentially, I get dragged into whatever he does, no matter how energy consuming it is.

I went straight to the washroom to take a quick shower before putting on the swimsuit I got before my shower. I only had time to grab a bottle of sunscreen before Natsume drags me out of my room and straight to the pool area where my friends waited. 

There were still traces of sleep on their faces and I could tell they would've wanted to stay in bed longer. But Natsume happened. They can never resist my brother's charm. He's a social animal. He likes being around people. And this is the exact reason why my friends are dragged into this early morning swim.

"Ugh Natsume! You're lucky I adore you so much." reklamo ni Meg.

"Shut up, Meg! Hindi lang ikaw ang ginising dito. Besides, you had more time to sleep than the rest of us." sagot naman ni Bree.

Tumatawa lang sa gilid sina Max at Lexi habang patuloy na nagbabangayan si Bree at Meg.

We swam and lounged around the pool for about two hours until we decided to eat breakfast. Bukod kasi sa pag-aayos ng mga gamit sa kwarto, kailangan rin naming mamili ng iba pang mga kakailanganin namin sa bahay. We decided after breakfast to go to the mall to shop for more clothes and other necessities then go grocery shopping.

Nagpunta kami sa isang kilalang mall malapit sa village namin. Habang nagliliwaliw kami sa loob ng mall, hindi ko maiwasan ang pakiramdam na parang may mga matang nakasunod sa amin. Alam kong hindi mga bodyguards ang mga iyon. Dahil nakasunod lang samin ang mga bodyguards namin. 

It's not like they're hiding. They're obvious as fuck. So sino ang mga umaaligid? May hinala na ako kung sino pero hinayaan ko lang muna iyon. I will tire them out first. Waste their time.

Nakailang bags na kami ng pinamili sa mga boutique at iba pang shops pero dama ko parin ang pagsunod sa amin.

"Someone's following us." bulong ko sa mga kaibigan ko.

Tinignan ko ang mga bodyguards namin at sinenyasan sila na mas nakabuntot sa amin. Hinawakan ko naman ang kamay ni Natsume at mas lalong binilisan ang lakad. Papunta na kami sa medyo hindi mataong parte ng mall. This would be good enough. No one else needs to be involved. Especially people who have nothing to do with us.

Huminto ako sa paglalakad at ibinigay si Natsume sa mga bodyguards na agad namang pumaligid sa kanya. I don't care what happens, but Natsume is my priority. He is the future of the Fujimoto Clan. One day, he will rule over everything that we own.

"WHO ARE YOU?! I KNOW YOU'RE THERE! SHOW YOURSELVES!"

Silence filled the area. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. But I know better.

"I'M GIVING YOU FIVE SECONDS! COME OUT OR I'LL HUNT YOU DOWN MYSELF!"

Isa-isang nagsilabasan ang mga lalaking kanina pa sumusunod sa amin. I came face to face with seven familiar men. Ang mga putangina.
