Saskia's

Surprisingly, I didn't wake up with a massive headache. So this means that I do not have a hangover. But I don't remember what happened last night.

All I know is that, after the last shot of tequila that Bettina gave, I passed out.

Loser talaga ko when it comes to inuman pero nandito ako sa cuarto ko. Baka binuhat ako ni Kuya X. Buti na lang wala akong classes ngayong araw.

I checked my phone to see if there's a message or a missed call and I smiled upon seeing who sent a good night and a good morning message.

Si Greymark.

He's my suitor and he's been courting me since second year college up to now. I'm on my fourth and last year in college. I'm taking up Entrepreneurial Management in The Pacific University, Kuya X and his friends also went here.

I get up from the bed and decided to go down. It's fifteen minutes past 11 and time for brunch. When I reached the kitchen, I saw my brother and Blanche eating pancakes and that made my stomach growled. Kuya X first noticed my presence and I just nodded at him. I looked at Blanche and she's busy on her phone.

"How's your sleep, Sas?"

Oh finally, she acknowledged my presence.

"Masakit ba ulo mo? You passed out last night."

Napa-oh na lang ako. I honestly don't remember what happened last night.

"I'm just hungry, I don't feel dizzy or anything. Thanks for asking, though."

Sagot ko sabay smile ng tipid sa kanya pero tumango-tango lang siya sabay balik ng atensyon sa cellphone niya.

I wonder who or what she's busy with? Maybe -

"Hello babe? Freakin' finally! How're you?"

Naputol yung pag-iisip ko nang magsalita si Blanche kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Excuse me, guys. I'll take this call first."

Paalam niya sa amin kaya napasimangot ako.

"What's with the face sis?"

Tanong ni Kuya X sa akin na nakangiti ng nakakaloko.

"What's with my face, Kuya? May dumi ba or something?"

Tanong ko sabay punas sa mukha ko pero natawa lang sila kuya.

"Stop frowning, Saskia. Baka pumangit ka at di na magustuhan ni best friend. Boto pa naman ako sa kanya para sayo."

Sabi ni Kuya habang nakangiti. Hindi lingid sa kaalaman niya na may gusto sa akin yung best friend niya. Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at uminom na lang ako ng hot chocolate. Sakto namang bumalik si Blanche at umupo na sa pwesto niya.

"I will just finish my food and then I will leave na rin."

Sabi niya sa amin kaya pareho kaming napatingin ni kuya sa kanya.

"Why so sudden?"

Tanong ni Kuya X.

"I have to fetch someone at the airport."

Sabi niya pero ako, bilang isang curious na tao, tinanong kung sinong susunduin niya.

"Is that the one you were talking on the phone a while ago?"

Tanong ko kaya napatigil siya sa pagsubo ng hotdog.

"Yeah."

Sabi niya at nginitian ako.

"Bawi na lang ako next time guys. Let's go out some other time, my treat. I promise."

Sabi niya pero hindi ko na pinansin. Sino ba kasi yung susunduin niya at parang napaka-importante naman ata?

"What time will you be leaving? You need a car? Use mine."

Alok ni Kuya X kay Blanche.

"Maya-mayang konti. Gagamitin ko yung naiwang sasakyan dyan nila dad. Salamat sa alok, X."

Sabi niya sabay tayo.

"I really have to go now, guys. Thanks for the breakfast, see you around."

Paalam niya at tinapik si Kuya X sa balikat samantalang hinalikan niya naman ako sa noo na nagpatigil sa akin ng ilang segundo.

"Earth to Saskia."

Yung tinig ni Kuya X yung nagpabalik sa akin sa huwisyo. Kaya napadako yung tingin ko sa kuya ko na nakangisi ng malaki.

"Alam mo sis, kung hinayaan mong ligawan ka niyan hindi lang halik sa noo yung makukuha mo."

Sabi niya pero hindi ko pa rin pinansin.

"A kiss on the lips is better."

Sabi niya sabay tayo at iniwan akong nakanga-nga sa kusina.

I can't believe my Kuya. He likes Blanche for me and he doesn't mind if a girl liked me particularly his best friend. But he's very open minded when it comes to love.

I don't if I like Blanche but one thing's for sure, I like having her around.
