Ashe: the northernmost town in Valentia. Home to the richest merchants in the land, as well as many street artists, soldiers-in-training, and royal advisors.

Bale Lake: a lake situated near dragon territory. 

Bale River: the largest river in Valentia. 

Caverly: the village where Vivica was born and raised. 

Courier's hut: located throughout Valentia, the courier's huts aid in the transportation of messages and payments throughout the land. Although the work can be dangerous, often forcing the messengers to travel through dragon territory, it's not a well-paid job.

Danny's: the tavern in Vivica's village. Quite busy during the evening hours, and run by its namesake, Danny. Though usually the only women allowed inside are the barmaids, he makes a special exception for Vivica.

Desidua: a disease for which the cure is so difficult to find that it is always fatal. Only one in millions of people contract the disease, and all of these people die within a month. 

Drake (plural: draken): a large dragon. Six feet tall, not including its neck, and capable of flight. A very ferocious predator, the drake kills its victims by draining them of their blood. 

Drunkard's room: a small room where villagers are placed when they have drunk too much and have passed out at a tavern. Sometimes there's a bed. Most of the time, there's just a bucket.

Elf (plural: elves): creatures that have pale green skin that allows them to blend into the forest and hide from dragons, their greatest enemy. Although elves are sweet and just want to have fun, they trap many humans by drawing them into parties that never end. Elves have developed their own language to communicate.

Efaesian Mountains: the range of mountains that are located by the northernmost edge of Valentia. The three mountains surround a lake, and the smallest one, Creno, is sometimes climbed for recreational purposes. 

Faesian flower: a rare flower that can only be found on a small island in the Fae Ocean. Even when picked, the flower never dies, and will keep dreams sweet if placed by someone's head during slumber. 

Fairy (plural: fairies): very small, winged creatures that possess magical abilities. Fairies are not known for their helpfulness, and are very secretive creatures.  

Fairy Village: assumed to be found in proximity to the Efaesian Mountains. 

Kertz: the only dragon of its kind. Over thirty feet long, it is capable of flight at high speeds. The kertz has eight eyes, four on each side, and has attacked dozens of villages throughout its lifespan.

Magus (plural: magi): a being with supernatural powers; in this case, one whose abilities are derived from outside sources and has become warped from the strength of these powers. In Valentia, magi are known for their short tempers and unpredictable natures.

Mirror Lake: a lake found nestled by the Efaesian Mountains. Should a person look into this lake, they will see their darkest self revealed, courtesy of the fairies. 

Ovnid (plural: ovni): a very small dragon. Has large eyes and forehead, and a long, lizard-like tail. Attacks prey by charging and breathing fire from its ears. 

Poinser: people who drink potions and poisons for the thrill, and wait for the last second to take the antidote. Many have died because of this, but the danger does not seem to discourage others.

Rebrite (plural: rebrites): small, translucent insects capable of flight. Discovered by castle physician Asthen, rebrites create an electrical surge when their bodies make contact against each other at high speed. 

River Silver: the second largest river in Valentia. 

Sheridan: a small village along the Bale River. Often plagued by dragon attacks.

Siren (plural: sirens): live on a small island in the Fae Ocean. They all look the same, with golden hair and blue eyes, and are only distinguishable by the designs on their wings. When angered, a siren's wings change and grow iron spikes.

Unicorn (plural: unicorns): have not been seen in Valentia for over a hundred years. Villagers question if their existence was only ever a myth. 

Valentia: the land ruled by King Havrick. Though it has not known war for many years, Valentia suffers from a dragon infestation that threatens the lives of any villager who dares to enter the forest alone.

Verida: the largest town in Valentia. Verida is where the castle is located as well as many merchants and most of the king's advisors. A castle town, its inner gatehouse leads to the castle, while the outer gatehouse connects to a defensive wall built around the town for protection from dragons, sirens, and other creatures that prowl the forest.

Vinyl wine: a very dark wine made out of vinyl berries. Most people can't drink two glasses without starting to feel the effects of the drink.
