A/N: This is the chorus of a song my mother used to sing to me when I was really young to put me to sleep. I hope you enjoy!
~Xellence's P.O.V.~
I hugged Lucy tightly as he began to softly sing to me, trying to distract me from the pain.
"Moon on the Meadow"
The full moon illuminated the forest as my body slowly began to dust...
"Bugs in our ears"
There were faint yells of those who hurt me in a battle before Lucy found me and teleported us away.
"Smoke in our eyes."
My vision began blurring more and more, my health dropping no matter how much Lucy tried to heal me...
"Wet wood and tears."
My tears fell as the pain grew more and more... I was leaving Lucy... I shakily sang the rest of the song...
"O-Out on the meadow"
Lucy tried to silence me but I shook my head and continued to sing.
"Water somewhere"
I felt Lucy's tears fall on me, his sobbing grew louder as the final verse came.
"We were the only ones there."
I closed my eyes, my body almost completely dusting.
I lost the war but that didn't matter to me anymore. I lost myself in the final battle and left Lucy to pick up the pieces.
"I love you Lucy... I'm sorry..."
"XELLENCE!"
