The mute girl

As I walk the halls I hear people talking everyday either about school, homework, football games or me. I hate that crap! If you have something to say nice or mean just say it to my face! Oh hi didn't see you there I'm always in my own world I prefer that to be honest.

I'm being rude my name is Alison Brown I'm 17 & a junior in high school. You know I wish I had a friend, my only friend moved away and doesn't talk to me anymore, after she moved I got super shy so people around school started calling me "the mute girl"

I don't talk to anyone and I mean ANYONE I'm really shy and I like to keep to myself but when I'm at home I can't shut up my older brother Charlie yells at me to shut up or turn my music down all the time. Enough about that idiot let get back to quiet old me!

My teachers worry about me and my shyness, they have meetings with my parents about it a lot, there's nothing wrong with me I just prefer to stay quiet you get in less trouble that way.

It's almost the end of the school day one class to go Thank God! I'm ready to go home....oh my god there he is... now let me give you a picture of what I see right now.

His name is Karic Anderson his a football quarterback he is so dang hott. I've had a crush on him since middle school. We have a couple classes together but I sit in the back and him in the front.

But sadly he has never noticed me one I don't talk to him or anyone for that matter and two he has a girlfriend her names Noel

She's a cheerleader who thinks she can get by with anything. She doesn't bully to much, she's just the one that first called me a mute. Which in a way she's right and wrong.

I'm at mute at school, out in public but not home. Home is my safe haven! I love my parents and my stupid brother.

Oh crap! I went into my own world again and now I'm staring at Karic...crap! "What are you looking at mute girl!" Oh crap! It's Noel I look up from the floor and there she is fuming mad.

"Well? Haven't got all day mute! Were you staring at my boyfriend?" I shook my head no holding onto my book tightly. She rolls her eyes "whatever mute girl I know you where but your a.." "Noel leave Alison alone now"

"But mr. Gardener she was staring at my boyfriend!" Mr. Gardener is the principal and good friends with my dad "I don't care Everyone stares at him on Friday nights and I don't see you yelling at them so again leave Alison alone" "whatever" with that Noel left.

Mr. Gardener stayed with me until Noel was out of sight then he looked at me with a small smile "don't worry Alison i know she gives you a hard time sometimes if she bothers you again let me know" I nodded and walked the long hallway to English.

*english class*

"Okay students quiet down!" Mrs. Corden yelled. Don't get me wrong she might be yelling now but Mrs. Corden is really nice well to me she is.

"Alright everyone as you know spring break is two weeks away. Now I have one last assignment for you all" "boooooo" everyone in the room screamed
Mrs. Corden rolled her eyes

"As I was saying, the assignment is to write an essay & make a poster about a book that I have made a list of that you can pick from the twist is you each will be paired up with a person I have choose for you"

My eyes went wide Oh my god! Did she just say what I think she just said? Oh crap! Okay breathe Alison maybe you got Anna Lynn who's a bookworm or maybe Justin Long who is very creative.

"I have posted the partner lists by the door  I'll be handing out the one of books. good luck everyone"

*bell rings*

Everyone's lined up looking at the list i don't care about the book choice I care about the partner Karic is in this class! Oh god what if he's my partner? Noel will kill me!

Okay I'm the last to look oh god I'm nervous should I be? I mean I um well never mind I'll freak out now....

My eyes search the list for my name...I don't see it. Oh my god! I found my name. Who's my partner. OH MY GOD! My partner is KARIC ANDERSON!
