Ender's POV:
The sky was getting dark, and streetlights started turning on.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I needed help, badly. I still have his number, right?
Looking through my contacts, I saw Malachi's number. Perfect, I thought, and called him.
For a few seconds, no one answered, until I heard the phone beep and a familiar voice spoke.
"Hello?" He said, a tone of confusion in his voice.
"Hi! Malachi, it's me, Ender. I really need your help,"
"With what?"
"I need to find an apartment, but it's getting late, and I haven't even started looking for one. Is it fine if I stay with you? I can sleep on the couch! Just until I find my own place? Please?"
Malachi took a moment to consider it, then answered back. "Sure, are you near Starbucks? I'm there right now."
I looked around, and spotted the coffee house he was talking about across the street. I used the crosswalk to get over there, and I spotted him through the window.
I opened the door and heard a bell ring, then looked over at Malachi.
A few other people were sitting with him, his little brother Levin, I remember him, and three people I didn't know.
He waved me over, and I sat down next to him. I set my bag next to me as I examined the people he was with.
There was a guy who had brown hair that was tied into braids, and eyes that looked like a sunset, seriously, they were beautiful. He mostly wore grey and white, he had a vanilla bean frappe, the same as Levin, who was sitting right beside him. They looked like they were close friends.
There was a girl, who had strawberry blonde hair, and magenta eyes. She had a unicorn frappe, and she was smiling as she drank it. She noticed me looking at her and she put her drink down and smiled.
"Hi!" She said cheerfully. "I'm Alexis, and this is Kyle," She gestured to a guy who had dirty blond hair that was tied into braids, with black beads that held them together. He waved at me, and continued to drink his latte.
"And that's Liochant. But you can call him Lio," She pointed at the brown haired guy. He gave me a friendly smile. I returned it.
"And you remember Levin," Malachi said. I nodded and looked over at his brother. He was wearing a plain grey t-shirt and blue jeans, simple, nothing like the Levin I remember. I hope the only thing that's changed is his clothing style.
"Well, now that you've been introduced to everyone, how about we all go home. It looks like you're all done with you drinks," Malachi gave me a small hug, and glared at his brother, who only had drank his frappe halfway.
Levin noticed the glare, and responded with "I'm bringing this one home," He nudged Lio and they both got up.
We left the coffee house and walked to their apartments. They weren't too far away from Starbucks, just a few blocks away.
We went up to Levin's apartment, and hung out for a bit, Levin talked about his favorite musical "The Matron" (Its about Lady Irene's life, kind of like Hamilton)
When it was 7:00, we all started going home. But Liochant stayed, I wondered why until Malachi told me they were roommates.
We got to his apartment and walked in.
Alexis seems nice, and Kyle is hilarious. Liochant is cute, as in adorable, not the way most people use that word nowadays. But he is handsome.
"Oh, I have a guest room, so you don't have to sleep on the couch," He said. I smiled gratefully. He showed me the room and allowed me to get settled. I set my bag beside the closet and flopped down on the bed.
I came here to finish my studies as a surgical technician, and I heard Malachi was a surgeon, so what better place to go then the hospital he works at?
I really hope he's okay with all this.
I pulled out my pjs from my bag and quickly changed, folding my clothes and putting them on the dresser.
I wore a lavender tank top with purple and black checkered pants. I settled into bed and drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
