Malachi's POV:
My alarm went off and I sat straight up. Hitting the snooze button, I started to fix my bed. I changed into my everyday outfit, a black jacket with a green undershirt, and blue jeans.
I remembered Ender being here, and headed into the guest room, where I saw her curled up on the bed, the blankets were kicked off, maybe she did that in her sleep.
Quietly, I walked over to her, and gently shook her. She shot up in her bed, wide eyed, and panicked.
I attempted to calm her, which worked, because she realized it was me who woke her.
"What time is it?" She asked groggily.
"6:05" I said, sitting down on the bed with her.
She leaned on my shoulder, and I could see she was falling asleep again.
I chuckled. "Okay, I'll let you get a little more sleep while I make breakfast," I said, laying her back down and pulling the blankets up to her.
A few minutes later, I had the batter for the pancakes already on the pan. Today was my day off from work, but I never enjoyed sleeping in, so I always set my alarm to a reasonable time.
I heard footsteps and turned to see a sleepy Ender walking to the couch. She rubbed her eyes and looked at what I was doing.
"What are you making?" She asked, pulling her reddish-brown hair into a ponytail. Her violet eyes scanned the room, taking in all the features.
I turned back to the pancake and flipped it. "Well, I remembered your favorite breakfast, and decided to make it," I turned towards her, and she was leaning over the island to stare right at me, her eyes shining.
"Pancakes?" She smiled widely, her wolf ears and tail popped out. She always kept them hidden, because there are a lot of places that ban werewolves, just because some immature person who happened to be a werewolf did something stupid. I avoid those places entirely. But when she was near someone she was comfortable with, they popped out
I chuckled. "Yeah,"
She searched through the cabinets and grabbed the maple syrup. She opened the fridge and took out the whipped cream. Setting them both on the cabinet, she opened the drawers until she found the silverware.
I watched her intently as she poured syrup on the stach of pancakes, then the whipped cream on top. I opened the fridge and took out the box of strawberries. Her face brightened as she watched me place the strawberry on the whipped cream.
We decided to share our breakfast, since I ran out of batter. It was quite a meal, I'm proud of myself.
"Thanks again, Malachi. I really owe it to you," She said, setting her fork down.
"It was nothing, I'd do anything to help a friend," I smiled.
My phone rang, and I answered it. It was Levin.
"Hey, I was wondering if you and Ender would like to come over to our apartment, so we can all catch up on things,"
"Sure," I replied.
"Great! See you in a fe- wait Lio, what are you doing, NO! GET THAT CAT OUT OF HERE! LIO!" He hung up.
I took a moment to process what happened on his side of the phone. Levin is allergic to cats, but Liochant doesn't know that... okay that won't end well.
Levin's allergies aren't that bad, he just needs to take a pill and he'll be fine after a few hours.
"What was that all about?" Ender looked at my phone, and I realized she could have heard it, considering her advanced hearing.
"Liochant brought over a cat," I stated.
"Does he know?" She asked, and I shook my head. Giggling, she headed into her room. After a few minutes, she came out, dressed in a grey long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
We headed over to Liochant and Levin's apartment, and I knocked on the door. It was Kyle who answered.
"Hi! It's great to see you, could you help us find a certain cat?" He asked, then looked over at Ender. "Oh hey, it's you. Ender, right?"
She nodded, and smiled at him. "I bet I could sniff the cat out. Is he still in the room?"
"Yeah. Well, come on in and help us!" Kyle looked back to see Liochant apologizing continuously to Levin, who was lying on the couch, snuggled up in a blanket. He was glaring at everyone.
Levin has a yearlong record of not getting sick, and it's almost the end of the year, but then this happened, and he doesn't look too happy about it.
Alexis came out of the bathroom holding a fluffy tabby kitten in her arms.
"Found it," She said, petting the cat's head.
"Hey, Lio, can I keep it? It seems to like me," she looked down at the kitten, which was purring. She smiled.
"Sure, I can't keep it, but you can." Liochant walked over to us, and shook hands with Ender.
"It's nice to see you again," he said cheerfully. She smiled.
"You too,"
Since Levin wasn't feeling too well, he told us to just go eat somewhere nice. We all decided to go to Olive Garden. Ender and I love their breadsticks and salad.
A waitress led us to our table and we all sat down.
"So, Ender, I heard you were
