I left after Robbie told me that we couldn't be friends anymore. I grabbed my stuff and rushed out the door. I sobbed and walked in the direction of my safe haven. I couldn't see much but I noticed a car slowing down next to me. I wiped my tears and noticed Harry driving his black truck that was all beat up. I stopped walking and he rolled down his window.
"Kelly please let me give you a ride." I didn't have anything better to do and I noticed it looked like it was going to rain again. I walked on the other side of the truck and got in. I closed the door and buckled my seat belt. It was a silent car ride and I just closed my eyes and let sleep take over me.
"Kelly wake up," I felt someone shake me lightly. I turned my head to find a curly haired boy with green eyes staring back at me. I lowered my head and remembered Harry gave me a ride home.
"You fell asleep and I forgot how to get to your house so I stopped by a small cafe and got two hot chocolates and donuts if that's okay with you." I lifted my head and noticed that we were in a parking lot. I gave him a small smile and he handed me my hot chocolate and a donut.
"So are you going to tell me what happened or are you going to let what ever you are upset about eat you alive?"
Did I want to tell Harry how I lost my best friend?
"Let it eat me alive." I said and took a sip of my drink. I stared down at my donut because I didn't have the courage to look at him strait in the eye.
"Is it a fear?" he asked and I took awhile to think before I responded.
"I guess you can call it a fear. A fear that I think about and feel everyday. A fear that is already happening and already happened. Something that I live and hope it will go away."
I felt satisfied after I explain my fear to him.
"And what kind of fear are you speaking of?" he asked as he waited patently for my response.
"Loneliness." I said barely above a whisper. I think Harry heard what I said, but instead of him laughing or trying to embarrass me he put his hand on my shoulder.
"You have to know that I can see how Niall looks at you." Harry said as he looks out the window.
"And how does he look at me?" I asked wanting to know what I can can't see.
"I see nothing that I have every seen before when he looks at you. He truly cares about you so much that I had to keep you guys apart before he fell so hard for you before reality hits him. He still needs to focus on football, but you guys are a pair for sure."
After our little conversation we finished our food. It started to rain and I gave the directions to my house. It didn't take long till I was waving goodbye and walking up to my front door. When I walked up the little steps to my porch I heard the truck's door slam shut. I turned my head to find Harry walking up to me. He rapped his arms around me and have me a tight hug.
"If you ever feel lonely you can talk to me." I was going to say thank you, but he ran back to his car, and it started to rain really hard.
I grabbed the house key from my front pocket in my backpack and unlocked the door. I noticed my mom and dad eating dinner. My dad was still in his work clothes and my mom had her face caked in makeup, but at least they weren't fighting.
"Why are you home so late?" My mom asked, but I could tell she was mad.
"I had to work on a project with my lab partner after school." My parents both nodded their heads before focusing on eating their food again.
"Leftovers are in the fridge." My dad said before he took a big bite of mashed potatoes.
"I'm not hungry I already ate." I went to my room and placed my backpack down and went on my laptop. I started to feel like I had a fever and my head hurt even more again. I decided it was late enough to fall asleep.
The next day I woke up and went to school like all the other normal days. Except this time Robbie wouldn't smile back at me. He talked to Jasmine sometimes but besides that Eva and I don't know why he avoids us.
After school I was walking past the football field and noticed Niall sitting on the bleachers by himself. He still had a bad ankle and had to use crutches. I felt bad so I walked up and sat next to him.
"Kelly?" He asked seeming surprised I came to sit next to him.
"Hey," I said and turned my attention to the practice he was missing out on. I noticed Harry was on the team and so was Louis. I watched them kick the ball around and dribble it with their feet till Niall gave me a tap on the shoulder.
"I haven't seen you around much." Did he look disappointed when he said that? I wonder if it was really true what Harry said.
"If you want you can come over at my house and we could catch up on life."
"Sure that sounds grate." Niall said as he got up and started going in the direction of the parking lot.
"Hey were are you going?"
I couldn't help but ask. He suddenly seemed happy and in a rush all at once.
"I'm tired of missing practice and having to watch them play."
We got into Niall's car and I told him how to get to my house. Niall turned on the radio and started to sing along. I didn't know he had a good voice. I started to sing along even if my voice was nothing compared to his.
"So what do you want to do?" he asked me as he parked the car in front of my house.
"I'm really hungry so wanna make cookies?" He agreed and we both dumped our backpacks by the front door before running to the kitchen. I grabbed one of the books that had directions to make all sorta of different types of cookies that had directions. I ended up choosing peanut butter cookies because they are my all time favorite type of cookie.
Niall and I worked together to get the cookie dough ready. He was actually pretty good.
"Hey Kelly," I put down the bowl I was mixing and spoon before turning my body to see what Niall needed. Before I knew it he threw flower all over me.
It got in my hair and clothes.
"Niall you are going to die!" I grabbed a handful of flower and I grabbed cookie dough in my other hand. I chased him around the kitchen and he just kept laughing till I had him cornered.
"For Narnia!" I yelled and I thew the powder and when he wasn't paying attention a smeared the cookie dough all over his face.
"Thanks Kelly I really needed a face mask." Niall said as he licked some of the cookie dough off that was on his lips. We stared at each other till Niall broke the silence.
"I just need to find out about something." Niall leaned in and I guess this was what Harry was talking about. before I could do anything he pressed his lips on to mine. It was a sweet little kiss. My heart was racing after he pulled away.
"Um well did you um find what you'r looking for?" I asked after stuttering several times.
"Yeah I found you." He reached out and tucked a pice of my hair behind my ear.
"What on earth.... Kelly!" I froze in shock recognizing my moms voice. I looked around the kitchen noticing it was a complete mess before looking at my mom in the eye.
"I'm so sorry mom Niall and I were just trying to make cookies and...and ..." I couldn't come up with any good excuses.
"We spilt the flower and I was holding cookie dough, but I forgot so when I was going to rub my face it got everywhere." Niall said as he gave me a small wink without my mom noticing.
"Well clean it up and leave me a cookie." With that my mom walked away probably to go watch TV in her room.
We finished putting the cookie dough in little balls before putting them in the oven. Niall's cookie dough balls were uneven and were more like ovals but I'm sure they will taste the same.
"Thank you for coming."
"I'm glad I could come." He gave me a kiss on the cheek and I couldn't help but blush.
A/N: I just want to start off by saying how sorry I am for making you guys wait for this chapter. It probably has some errors, but I will try to find more time to write this book.
