Letting Go

Sorrow upon sorrow, my eyes have clearly seen
Reality has found its place
I want to take a break
I want to get out of here; confusion envelopes me

Tears were running through my cheeks
I was in my room, alone and weak
I held my pillow tight
I knew everything isn't going right

I was fool when I gave all my trust
When the words you've said just turned into dust
It's been a long time since you went away
Now where's your promise that forever you'll stay?

The memories, the silent cries, the hidden pain
My heart heavy as an anchor
I took one glance of yesterday
When everything turned gray

This may not be easy but I should take a risk
No turning back now
I know this is the hardest thing that I could ever do
To forget everything about me and you.
