She met him when she was a teen
When falling in love was like a sin
Elders gave her rules to deal
For the feelings that was real.
And they said..
"Young girl you'd better wait
It's too early to find a mate
There's future ahead of you
There's a lot you can do."
She knew that this day would come
The battle between mind and heart
She cried in confusion
She made a decision -
And she said...
"Young boy you'd better go
Let us wait until we grow
An answered prayer from God above
A lifetime with my one great love."
