The music rang in my ears as I sat on one of the few free chairs,officer Peck sat next to me
The small glasses slid next to us,first day on this work,drunk allready

"Hhhhh" I groaned as the bittersweet warm,tingly drink warmed my throat

"So how's it going for the two of you?" A voice I didn't recognize called out
Gail quickly stood up,everything about her vibrating in happiness
Her eyes sparkled as she jumped in a tight hug,after which a soft kiss followed

"Rae I want you to meet Holly" "My girlfriend" Gail said introducing me to the pretty brunette

"Hi-" I spoke out just as I took another shot.This one didn't feel like my whole body was on fire.This one felt,like being waken up on a Saturday with sun rays,straight over your eyes

"Hi,I'm Holly" The brunette spoke out just as I finished,after shaking hands she sat down next to Gail,moving her chair closer,so the two were brushing against eachother

"If you want me to leave,just say it,I don't wanna third wheel your date or something" I said in an voice that was much more awkward than I expected.Not really used to being that kind of a person

"Oh no no you don't need to-" Gail spoke out,reassuring me.She spoke so quickly that I really got the feeling she wanted me to stay

A few tens of minutes later and Holly joined in on the tipsy talk.I can see that she wasn't really big at drinking,maybe even a little hesitant

"So Rae do you have a boyfriend" Holly asked,her glasses falling to the lower part of her nose

"Not really into guys right now?"I said,my voice sounding like a mix of unsure and something else even I couldn't distinguish.My hands moved closer to each other only to crack my fingers
My head moved to the side as Holly spoke out

"Oh you are gay?"

"Bisexual actually-" I said

"Should I be worried" She looked at Gail then at me again,I smiled,genuenly finding it funny

"I'm taking a break from everything dating related,tired of things ending with a head against the wall crash"
I muttered,with an ironic tune,taking a sip of whatever Gail ordered through a white and red straw

"Everyone finds someone you j-" Holly replied but was interrupted by Gail putting a hand over her mouth taking a shot

"Shhh let's not speak about depressing shit today-"

"Works great with me" I said raising a glass,exing the dring

"Life is a pain and I hate it" I muttered with shades over my eyes

"Your second day and you are already showing up hangover" Gail said as she turned the car.There was a hint to taming down the urge of trying not to laugh.She had a bad poker face

"I swear it won't happen again-"

"It better not"

"You said it first" she said it like she knew it will happen,in the near future even.Who knows.Hopefully it won't happen.
