Collecting The Other Evidence

I stared at the hole with wide, scared eyes. They still haven't come back up yet...And I was getting worried. I wanted to just pull Ven back up, but I wasn't sure if he had a hold of Kaylee yet. I could tell that Axel was tense, the way his hand squeezed itself was the hint. 

Al of the sudden, the rope moved, and finally Ven and Kaylee came back up, gasping for breath. I sighed with relief and helped them out of the hole.

I began to wipe sand and dirt off of Kaylee. She did the same, not liking all the junk in her hair. But she suddenly stopped, and looked to ven. "Hey...Ven?" She asked.

Ven brushed sand off his arm. "yeah?"

"Thanks for coming after me." She said with a smile.

Ven shrugged, then coughed up some sand. "Er...No problem." He looked at the sand he coughed up strangely, and Axel laughed. Ven gave him a look as Axel helped him up. "You don't need to laugh." Ven told him.

Axel laughed some more. "You're like a cat that just coughed up an hairball." Axel pointed out.

I snickered at his comment. "So true!"

"Hey!" Ven yelled at them. "You two are meanies!"

Kaylee got to her feet on her own. She then clung to his arm. "I'm not gonna make fun of you because I'm doing the exact same thing." She cooed.

Ven blushed. "How about we get the sand off of us...Then we proceed to look for the evidence, shall we?"

Kaylee nodded. "Sure thing!"

----------------------------------------------------------------A few minutes of brushing sand off later...

"Okie dokie then!" Kaylee said as she boldly placed her hands on her hips with a grin. "Charge! Now we shall find the other evidence!"

Kaylee linked arms with Ven and I before taking us to the tea party. I told them that we had to sit in all of the chairs and we get prizes. So we did...I knew that the chairs would all fall backwards and make you fly off the chairs, but I didn't know that it would actually hurt! But we did get prizes like money and candy, (But Kaylee ate it all before we could eat it) and we got an pink box! So now we have three boxes of evidence...Just one more to go!

I was getting excited. I didn't know doing something like this could actually be lots of fun! Despite the fact that Kaylee and Ven fell down the hole...But that doesn't matter at the moment.

Anyway, once we got all of our presents, we ventured inside of the house next to the tea party. And that weird cat thing greeted us...Cheshire Cat!

Kaylee screamed and jumped from it when it floated in her face. "Ah! Scared of kitties like me eh?" He asked as he floated toward her again.

Kaylee freaked out and started to run in circles. I sighed with annoyance. "All right kitty." I held up a hand to it. "Okay what is the riddle thing you're gonna tell us so we can just move on?"

"Oh! You mean the shadows!" It exclaimed as it placed it's paws on it's cheeks. "Poor Alice is locked up for no reason...You must find all of the evidence before you show them to the queen! But," He held up a finger. "To find the last box of evidence, you need to play with the shadows! Light the candles and the shadows will come out to play!" He suddenly vanished.

Kaylee stopped running in circles. "Wait...Shadows?"

"Heartless." I confirmed. "There was this large boss fight in here, the Trickmaster." I looked up, and there was the room with the table that either made us smaller or bigger, depending which potion you drank. I lifted my arm and pointed to the room. "Once we light those candles," With my other arm, I pointed to the candles ahead of us. "We go to that room above us, we then defeat the Trickster, free Alice, then we can get out of here."
