Have you ever woken up in the morning and had the overwhelming sensation that something bad was going to happen. Everything seemed normal when I woke up. Hiro was in his room getting ready and Tomo was downstairs drinking coffee as usual however in the pit of my stomach I was extremely tense and I didn't know why. For some unknown reason I found these everyday, normal actions suspucios and because of that I couldn't look my brothers square in the eye for most of the morning. The feeling was even more overwhelming at school as Abby came skipping down the hall to my classrooom, huge smile plastered on her porcelain face.

"How was your date?" She asked giggling, anticipation and curiosity bubbling to the surface. She leaned across my desk as I sat in my chair arranging my books in my bag.

"It wasn't a date. My brother was there the whole time."

"Tomo was there!?"

"No, my younger brother Hiro came with."

"Oh.......so it wasn't a date?"

"No it was not." I said sternly as I stacked a few necessary books on my desktop.

"........did you want it to be?"

I stared at Abby blankly. "No. Max is my friend." Abby gave me a look like she didn't believe me as she pulled up some random deckchair to sit down.

"Do you remember what we have today?" She asked quietly.

"No, do we have a test or something?"

"No! Its or study party! I'm coming over to your house, remember?"

I nodded my head slowly. Abby was a nice girl and I was forever grateful for her friendship but at times she could be a bit extreme. She knew exactly what to do to make me uncomfortable and always succeeded in pushing my limits. On one hand it was great for she helped to push me out of my comfort zone but on the other hand who really wants to be challenged all the time. Just then the bell rang and as usual Abby sped off to class yelling a single good bye over her shoulder as she disappeared out the door. I was kinda sad to see her go but at least now I could get some peace and quiet.

Gathering my things, I left the classroom just as the last bell rang and saw Abby standing in the hallway waiting for me.
"I can't wait to see your house." She said beaming as she followed me out of the school and out to the parking lot where Tomo was waiting. I hadn't told him Abby was coming over, mostly because I forgot, and I hoped he wouldn't be upset. As we approached he flashed me a smile before turning to stare at Abby with a confused look.
"Who's this?" He asked me but before I could answer, the person in question chimed in.
"My name is Abby! I'm Y/n's friend! It's very nice to meet you!" She yelled. Tomo stared at her blankly before facing me and giving a look that said 'are you serious?'.
"I invited Abby over today to hang out. I hope you don't mind." I said.
"It's fine." Tomo answered quickly as he unlocked the car doors and climbed into the drivers seat. I let Abby take shotgun while I sat in the back with Hiro who seemed to be in a good mood.
"Hey Y/n, when are we going to hang out with Max again?" He asked cheerfully.
"I don't know. We haven't talked since then."
"Oh. I see."

In the front seat Abby was talking over a mile a minute while Tomo was doing his best to tune her out. He didn't care much for loud people so I could only assume that Abby's constant babbling was torture. Yet, there was nothing I could do to silence her so he just had to wait it out.

When we got home I showed Abby my room. She immediately started fawning over the room decor while at the same time scrutinizing my sparse closet wardrobe. I left her alone for three minutes to use the bathroom and when I came back she was nowhere in sight. Exiting my room, I could hear voices downstairs so I followed the sound into the kitchen where Tomo was preparing dinner while Abby sat at the counter chatting at him. It was an entirely one sided conversation but as I watched her talk something occurred to me that I wish I hadn't figured out.

"So how old are you Tomo? Are you going to college now? Do you have a job? I like a working man. You know I really like your sister. She's really pretty and I can see now that that runs in the family. Do you want to hang out sometime? I know I may look young but I'm actually pretty mature."

I entered the room and Abby stopped talking as she beamed me a smile.

"What took you so long, Y/n. I got bored so I came down to talk to your brother. He's really nice."

I slowly nodded in understanding before taking Abby by the arm and leading her up to my room. Once there I shut the door and sat her down on my bed to ask her something.

"Abby, do you perhaps like my brother?" I asked innocently. She immediately blushed a deep re as she began fiddling with her fingers.

"Oh god, was it that obvious? I thought I was being more discrete than that."

"So you do?"

"Look Y/n, I can't help it if your brothers hot. He's like a perfect, mature ten out of ten. No girl can resist."

She flopped down so she was laying on my bed with her arms spread wide on both sides like a bird. Her cheeks were still dusted a light pink but her breath was calm and slow despite her erratic appearance.

"Don't tell him, ok?"

"I won't." I answered as I sat down next to her. She sat up and wrapped me in a big hug as she whispered 'thank you' in my ear. I didn't mind my friend having a crush on my brother since so many girls did but something still bothered me. Is this why she became friends with me? Did she want to be friends so she can be closer to my brother? Is that why she came over today? I tried to push these thoughts away but they were like a plague that kept bubbling to the surface of my mind. Abby and I are nothing alike so from an outsiders point of view we shouldn't be friends. Yet we are. Or are we? I was so confused that even after she left for the night I stayed up contemplating our friendship until the early morning hours where I passed out in my bed from pure exhaustion. While I had been questioning Abby and I's relationship I had no idea that Hiro and Tomo were doing the exact same thing in the other room. Except they had already arrived at a rather unsavory solution.

"She needs to go."
