Chapter 15: Love lost

Chapter 15:

Antonio's POV:

"Wassup?!"I say walking into the house.

"Tonio!! What up?!"they yell.

"Where my wifey at?"I ask.

"I dunno, what we look like? Wifey watchers??"Kevin says.

"Nah y'all look like single bums."I yell running down stairs. I walk into our room. Her side is empty, her books, her perfumes and shoes. Her stuffed animals, all but one. I look in the closet everything that's hers is gone. I loo around trying not to freak out. I see some paper float off the bed. I pick it up.

-Dear Antonio,

First thing I wanna say is not to freak out. Second don't get mad, I only did this because I love you. Please understand this was for the best. You gave me some of the best times of my life. All my best moments happened after I met you.

I have never met a smarter more talented person than you. You made me realize so much about my life. You made me realize so much about myself. And I'm so happy you're my first love. You showed me so much of life. So I just want to thank you.

Now for some not so great news. I'm pregnant. And I knew you'd be mad and want me to get an abortion but I can't do that. As much as I wish you could be in our child's life I don't think you want to. But one day you'll see him/her.

Antonio, I love you with all my heart...but even if you were to want this child...you're in a gang. And while I don't mind it, that is no place to raise a child. Please forgive me but I have to do this. Maybe one day our paths will cross again.

I finish reading the letter, and tears are rolling down my cheeks. So this is it feels to have your heart break? She doesn't know that the only reason I get so mad about children....is because the mother of my child won't let me see him.

I wanted to be in his life, but she didn't want me. And now it's happening all over again. Maybe I'm not supposed to fall in love. How can this be love if it hurts this bad? I'd take a bullet any day over this.
