Beach Town

Arriving at the house

The house was big and placed along the far west side of the beach. Slightly Above with an amazing view of the ocean. Big glass windows and Surrounded by high grass swaying in the wind.
Taehyung got the biggest room and unpacked in a hurry, feeling refreshed and excited. He wanted to explore the place.

His mother had been rather quiet ever since they got in the cab.

"Tired?" Tae asked walking out from his room.
She was spread out on the couch, Nodding slowly as her brain chewed on the short question.

"I'm hungry, are you hungry? She asked as Taehyung dumped into the straw chair beside her, without opening her eyes.

He nodded "Yeah, What do you want? I'll go buy it." He said, gazing out the window.

"But you don't know where the supermarket is.." She said surprised.

Taehyung rolled his eyes comically, facing his mother "mom, ever heard of a phone or a map?" He teased her, smiling. "Just tell me were it is." He got up. She smiled and rolled her eyes back.

After getting approval and a mild explanation, Taehyung skipped out the door and walked towards town. It was still hot but the sun was low, preparing for a beautiful sunset.

It didn't take long until Taehyung found the supermarket, as it was just by the beach. It was bigger than he thought and the placement of certain foods were unfamiliar to him. Hence he made a game with himself.

Over half an hour later, he had bought everything on his mother's list, plus a few things for himself. Seated on a bench looking at the horizon, he carefully ate a blue lollipop. The sunset made the sky orange, but there wasn't many on the beach left.

Only a small guy with dyed blonde hair, that was grunting as he folded together the parasols. Then there were three people sitting on surfboards in the horizon, they were discussing something rather passionately, it seemed. Taehyung couldn't hear what they were saying, but after a minute one of them paddled back to land, he looked tired and brushed his hand threw his hair, parting it in the middle, as he approached the blonde.
They looked around Taehyung's age, he thought to himself.

Exchanging quiet greeting they stood beside each other, observing the two in the water. With their backs towards Taehyung.

"They at it again?"

The surfer nodded in response. "Yeah.."

The two in the water were done talking, because one of them paddled rather aggressively towards land.

"I understand kookie only means well, but he needs to let it go."

"I'm actually starting to think this is about something else."

The taller surfer stomps out of the water and passes the two without a word, disappearing into the small beach cafe, after placing the surfboard against the wall.
Taehyung opened the second lollipop, intrigued by the drama unfolding before him.

"What do you think this is about then? You don't seem too worried."

The last guy in the water didn't seem to be getting back to land any time soon, he was sitting on his board watching the sunset.

"He jelly."

"What? Of what?"

The latter brushed his hand threw his hair yet again and shrugged, "you figure it out" he giggled lightly, turning to the beach cafe, where the taller dark haired guy came stomping out again, tugging on a t-shirt.

"Kookie-" the surfer said, but it didn't seem as thought he would say anything else, because the dark haired guy was already walking away, waving a hand behind him, as a sloppy good bye.

Taehyung felt his heart beat harder inside his chest as the guy walked up towards where he was sitting. He was fit with broad shoulders and a pretty bunny like face, Taehyung couldn't help but get a little flustered as the grumpy guy locked eyes with him.
Taehyung smiled, only to receive a blank glare before he walked away. He would have been offended if he didn't know he'd just been arguing with somebody.

The light voiced surfer at land had disappeared inside and the feisty blonde had resumed folding down the Parasol's. It seemed the show was over, so Taehyung chewed the last of his lollipop and got up. Wondering how anyone's name could be "Kookie".

They ate spaghetti that evening and fell asleep early to the sound of water crashing against the shore.
