"Hey, guys! There's a new shop in the village! We should totally go and see it!" Naruto yelled excitedly as he and his teammates were waiting for their Sensei.
"A new shop?" Sakura asked from her spot next to Sasuke.
"Yeah. It's supposed to have some really good food."
"It does. I stopped by there on my way to meet you all."
Turning, the three saw their sensei in a tree looking down at them.
"No fair Kakashi-Sensei! You came late just to check out the shop?!"
"Calm down Naruto. I'm planning to take you all there after our training is done. So make sure you all work really hard." Seeing two of his students get excited, Kakashi smiled. "What's wrong, Sasuke? Aren't you excited about your Sensei to treat you?"
"I heard that place sells nothing but sweets. I don't like sweets."
"I'm sure they'll have something there that you'll like. Come on, let's get to work."

As the four of them were taking a break for lunch, a girl stumbled out of the wooded area nearby, catching their attention. Looking their way, she gave them a bow before walking towards the village.
"Hey Kakashi-Sensei, who is that girl?" Naruto asked, watching her leave. "And why was she so dirty?"
"Oh. That's the sugar cane girl."
"The what? I've never heard of a sugar cane girl before."
"Naruto, that stuff she had in her hands was sugar cane. She must have gotten the name because she goes and collects sugar cane all the time. I didn't even know we had sugar cane growing around here."
"What a sharp eye you have Sakura. I don't know of any naturally growing on their own, but I do know that the shop that opened up planted some nearby."
"So that girl works at the shop?"
"Yes. How about we go there now? You all did well in your training so we'll end it early for today."
On the walk their, Sasuke stayed towards the back of the group and keep to his thoughts. 'That girl... she wasn't just dirty. She had bruises and cuts all over her. How do you get those from harvesting a harmless plant like that? Something doesn't seem right here.'
Going into the shop, the four stopped, surprised at what they saw.
