Sam's point of view-

As I flipped through the morning mail, I noticed two unstamped envelopes. That means they were directly slipped under our door by someone who most likely lives here! The outside of the envelope had one of those stickers that said 'You're Invited'. Invited? To what?

"Liam! Run in here and get your mail!"

"Coming, Sammy.", he yelled back from the other room.

As he walked in, I tossed him a bubble wrapped parcel and his 'invite'.

"What's this?", he frowned, looking at the envelope before tearing it open.

He read his aloud as I opened mine.

"This is a damn SURPRISE so don't you dare say anything to Ryder. It's her birthday tomorrow and you two are coming to the SURPRISE party. Remember, surprise. Say nothing. Also, don't outdo my gift. I got a cat. A calico one. Also, what are your names? That would be really helpful. See you at six tomorrow night. Be there or get neutered!"

Liam gasped.

"What is it?" I wondered aloud.

"I know her! We went to the same high school and had lunch a few times after that day I adopted that cat for her! Wait, that's wrong. I work where she got the cat, and I helped her pick him out." He smiled. "She named him Oliver."

I smirked. "Dude, you haven't really seen her in years, aside from those few lunches, and you're already head over tennis shoes."

His face turned beet red. "W-what? Dude, nooooooomaybeokyeahiam."

"That's why you kept playing Wonderwall and Hey there, Delilah, right? That was the day you guys had lunch."

He sighed. "Yeah. But it's probably gonna be just platonic."

I slapped him on the back, getting up to go attempt to make waffles without burning them. "Maybe not, after tomorrow night."

A/N

I apologise if that was absolutely terrible, I don't really know how to write men because I can't get inside their heads and that's how I analyse people. So if that's not how you think, please inform me. Also - still need a beta. Also, there's 48 and counting people who read this! Thank you so much for reading, you majestic fishes.
