The morning was hectic, from the moment Anari awoke, she was on the move. After making her bed, Anari perused her room carefully, making sure she wasn't forgetting anything. Satisfied with her trunk, Septa Mordane came to check it over.
The old woman smiled at how neat everything seemed to be. All of her clothes and linens were neatly folded and placed in perfect order, and all of her shalls were carefully placed on top. "Well done, Anari," she said once she closed the trunk.
"Thank you, Septa Mordane." Anari smiled back. While the woman was strict, Anari did like her. And she did flourish well enough during her lessons with her. Even Mordane enjoyed Anari's presence in her lessons. Not only that, but the girl brought new and interesting things into the lessons, asking questions, yet taking Mordane's advice as well.
Anari was honestly a pleasure to be around in general. This was why Mordane thought it to be a privilege to begin teaching Anari about the duties that would be expected of her should she marry. Anari was old enough, and perhaps this trip to King's Landing would provide a suiter.
Anari, long before they were set to leave, wanted to have lingering goodbyes with her brothers. She went to Robb and Theon first; Robb hugged her tightly, resting his chin on top of her head. Anari closed her eyes, breathing in her older brother's scent.
She didn't really want to leave, she didn't want any of them to leave Winterfell. However, this was out of Anari's control. Feeling her shuddering breath, Robb held her tighter. "You're alright," Robb said softly. "Don't worry; you, the girls, and perhaps father will be home again."
"I wish you could come with us," Anari said quietly. Despite being independent, despite the strength she held, Anari still needed her big brother. Wanted to remain under his protection, and have the option to turn to him should she need to.
"I wish all of you could stay," Robb whispered back. "But, there must always be a Stark in Winterfell. And it'll be good for you and the girls to experience what it's like outside these halls."
Anari sighed, though she nodded back. Pulling back, Anari looked up at him, memorizing his face. She didn't know how long she'll be gone, or the next time she'll see him. So, she wanted to ensure she remembered the way he looked.
Robb took the opportunity to do the same. His sister was so beautiful; she had a good heart and a sharp mind. Robb only hoped someone wouldn't use her kindness against her. He wished he could continue to protect her, but she had to find her own way at some point.
"I had something made for you," Robb smiled. Anari raised an eyebrow in curiosity, earning a small smirk from Robb. Procuring a small box, he opened it to reveal a silver pendant. It was the sigil of their house, a direwolf head nestled in a simple circle.
"Oh, Robb," Anari smiled. "This is lovely, thank you." Robb grinned, taking the pendant from the box and gesturing for her to turn around. Without hesitation, Anari turned and let her place it on her.
It went perfectly with her outfit, a simple blue dress with soft silver accents. "Beautiful," Robb smiled when she turned back around. Anari smiled, drawing Robb into another hug.
"I hope you'll miss me too," a voice said. Turning her head, Anari smiled when she saw Theon. He had a small smile of his own.
"Of course," Anari replied, pulling away from Robb to draw him into an embrace as well. "Even if you could do with a washing, I'll miss you." Robb and Theon laughed. "You look after each other, now. Don't make me have to come back here and straighten you two out."
The men chuckled again. "Of course," Robb smirked. "Greyjoy needs some looking after."
"And don't worry; I'll be at Robb's side. Nothing's gonna happen to him while I'm around." Theon smiled. Anari looked at both of them and smiled again.
