The Race For The Dragons {Hiccstrid}

Chapter One

"You ready Astrid" asked Hiccup while hopping on his dragon friend Toothless. "You bet I am," said Astrid with a grin. "3...2...1...GO" shouted FishLegs. Astrid and Hiccup took off with there dragons once again as they always race at this time. Astrid was on her Deadly Nagger, StormFly and Hiccup was on his Night Furry Toothless, as it was Astrid had always came half a second behind Hiccup.

After 12 minutes the race stopped and Astrid was last again with StormFly and this always happened. "It's no fair your taller and you have that new tail attached to him" Astrid said while swinging her axe around her. "Astrid calm down your going to hit me!" Hiccup had warned her while backing away.

Astrid had stopped after 30 minutes of chasing Hiccup because she heard two twins speak as always the twins kept on hitting each other and Astrid started getting more annoyed. She ran up to the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut no one could tell who was the girl and who was the boy.

Astrid was about to swing her axe when Stoick the Vast the chief of Berk and Hicups father, he didn't look happy actually he looked like he was going to kill someone. The adults stood there frozen waiting for him to talk. "Hiccup we need to talk, NOW!" he said extremely angry. Hiccup gulped, nodded his head and walked to the great hall. As they were inside Stoick closed the doors and there was the council members sitting at the table, Hiccup knew what this meant, that there was something wrong.

"It has been 8 years son since we made peace with the dragons... Son we have found something that we think you can help us" Stoick had said serious. "Can I see it?" asked Hiccup while he was scared.

Stoick nodded and Gobber brought over a cylinder with designs on it. "Do you know it Hiccup?" asked Stoick. Gobber placed it in his hands, Hiccup looked at it for 5 minutes before snapping back to reality. "No I haven't but I think I have seen it. I believe it's the......"

"It's the dragon eye" Hiccup told his dragon riders. Ruffnt and Tuffnut were bored because it didn't involve blowing up stuff of hitting each other. "So what it's a cone there's nothing sp- oh yeah my bad" said Ruffnut. Hiccup and Astrid gave them a glance that said 'if you don't be quiet we will kill you.'

"FishLegs is there anything in the book of dragons about it" asked Hiccup with a flitch. "Yes there is one thing... but you can't open it. You need a specific dragon to" answered FishLegs while turning the pages of the book of dragons.

"What dragon?" asked Astrid worryingly. "It doesn't say." "Well that's just great. We find the dragon eye and we have know idea how to open it. Well done" said Snotlout sarcastically. "Alright. Alright so what we need to do is find the right dragon" Hiccup said while getting in front of Snotlout. "Yes that's right." "Well Gang who's ready to go on an adventure?" Hiccup asked the gang. "Yes!" Everyone shouted at the same time.
