[4] A School Idol's Responsibilities

For the past week I had been skipping my school idol practice with the rest of Aqours.
But it will be different this time!
Today is Monday, It's a new week so I should put everything behind me and just go.
Everything will be fine.. I hope.

After the school day had passed, it was time for me to go to the club room.
It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. Everything's Fine. It's all gonna be okay.
"One foot after the other, Riko!"
Oops did I say that out loud?
A-Anyway.. After a few steps I made it.
The sign read: School Idol C̶u̶l̶b̶ Club.
Just as I remembered.
I walked in the doors finally.
I found the others waiting for me.
Their eyes lit up like fireworks when they saw me.
It was a little embarrassing, but I secretly liked the attention.
"Riko!" You shouted at me as she ran up and gave me a hug.
You Watanabe is a close friend, and a fellow second-year.
"Welcome back!!"
I hugged her back and started to tear up.
Just a little.
I lied it was a lot.
"It's so good to be back."
Yoshiko looked at me happily and said,"Just as I told you guys! Lili would never leave us!"
"It's Riko!!" I shouted at her playfully.
We giggled at eachother.
I'm back where I belong, with my closest friends.
Mari O'hara, Dia Kurosawa, Kanan Matsuura, Chika Takami, You Watanabe, Ruby Kurosawa, Hanamaru Kunikida, and most importantly, I'm back with Yoshiko.
"Let's practice a song, this time all nine of us!" Chika said with an excited expression.
"Which one?" asked Kanan quizzically.
"All of them!" exclaimed Mari.
"Mari-San.. We don't have the time or energy for that. Most importantly you! Have you forgotten your duties as the director of the school?" Dia said with an angry expression.
"T-Then what do we do?" asked Ruby.
Hanamaru patted her on the head and Ruby made the face of a happy cat, being petted by its owner.
"How about we practice a Muse song?" Chika exclaimed.
Dia and Ruby looked at her excitedly.
"Aye aye!" said You with a smile.
"That still doesn't answer the question of which one.." I said to them.
"Hmmm..." They all thought together.
"How about Aishiteru Banzai? That was Muse's final performance together, and it holds a lot of meaning to us." Yoshiko suggested.
"Wow Yoshiko-"
"Yohane!"
"Right, right.. Out of all people I wouldn't have expected you to suggest something so.. Happy?" said Maru.
Yoshiko blushed.
"I can do more things than be scary, you know!!" She yelled back at her.
We all laughed.
"That sounds like a great idea," said Kanan.
"Shall we get started?" asked Dia.
Everyone nodded.
We practiced harder than ever before that day.
I only got home at 7:00 pm!
I usually come home at 5:00..
Prelude greeted me at the door with a bark.
"You must have been worried about me huh?"
He licked me.
I laughed and gave him a pat on the head.
I browsed through Instagram for the rest of the night, before eventually falling asleep.
