Day 2 Week 5

After applying what he had learnt from Chanyeol, Jimin progressed much more quickly than before, although making the smallest bit of fire was draining for him.

Yesterday he had made a bigger fire than usual, but collapsed onto his bed, sleeping throughout the rest of the day and the night. He woke up with a small note on his bedside table, with only a few words written in an untidy scrawl.

"Well done :)"

He turned the note over to see two pictures on the back. In each picture was a person and fire. The first picture was of someone he didnt know, but there was a giant fire, and the figure looked scared.

But in the second picture was Chanyeol, he was in the same room Jimin had been learning in and he was nursing a flame in the palm of his hand. He stared at the picture for a while, and the fire almost seemed to be moving.

Jimin stared at the picture for who knows how long. He stared at the peaceful, yet excited face on his cousin.

He stared at the smaller man in the background, who was almost jumping for joy.

He stared at that figure's face, and the light glow surrounding them.

He recognised that face.

It was Byun Baekhyun

Jimin had to learn new things

He had to learn how to do what was in the picture

Putting fire in his hand? Wasn't that dangerous?

But Chanyeol didn't look hurt, and Baekhyun seemed excited.

Jimin plopped himself down on the floor of the Testing Room, as they called it. He turned the piece of paper around in his hands.

He didn't understand what he was meant to do.

How was he meant to do that? It was impossible!

But apparently it wasn't, because as Jimin had gotten angrier, his hand had been getting hotter and the note had started smouldering.

The flaming note dropped to the floor and Jimin scrambled back looking down at his hands, one of which had a small flame spouting from its palm
