[Chapter Six]

The Monster

November 8th 1983

Truck were looking for the kiddos, everywhere. Eleven started to steal Eggo's at supermarkets and Lucas went to go for Will by himself. Mike, Dustin, and Y/n went looking for Eleven. Dustin was looking everywhere whilst Y/n and Mike were looking at one direction and walking slowly.

"Can't believe any of this is happening." Y/n was confused.

"Why did any of this happen to us?" She turned to Mike hopping she'd get an answer.

"I don't know N/n, we're freaks. Bad stuff happen to freaks." He turned back to her. She whimpered once she felt cut her skin. Maybe just a small scratch no big deal she thought. Mike gasped and reached her ankle.

"You're bleeding!" He gasped. Y/n touched the big scratch that just formed. There was blood oozing out of her ankle. She touched it and screamed.

"How did this happen?" Dustin rushed to them and grabbed a random cloth he had found in his backpack. He tied it around her ankle and Mike helped her walk as Dustin had both his bike and her bike.

"I don't know? I must've been walking and a tree branch made a cut on my skin." They all kept walking and sometimes stopped when she was about to fall.

"I've come to think that Lucas doesn't want El in the group for a really weird reason." Dustin says.

"What reason?" Y/n asks.

"Lucas is jealous of her because she's taking up all of you and Mike's time." He continues walking. Mike and Y/n were confused.

"Well that's a stupid reason." Mike said. The kids were now on a street but they find Troy and James.

"If it isn't Toothless, Frogface, and Smartass." He told James. James giggled and put the nastiest face on his nasty face.

"What now Troy?" Y/n yelled. Troy walked to her and pulled her away from Mike. She screamed and touched her ankle.

"Smartass is hurt." James snickered.

"No shit ass face." She yelled back. Her teeth were gritted and she was sweating. Troy slapped her and pulled her up.

"Bring Toothless." James grabbed Dustin and took out a switchblade.

"Frogface here's what you need to do if you don't want to make Smartass' a living hell and to leave Toothless without teeth."

"Jump off the cliff." He said. Y/n gasped and tried to wiggle her way out of Troy's grip. Mike hesitated and looked at Y/n.

"I'm sorry." He jumped. Y/n screamed and Troy pushed her. Everything went silent around her. She didn't hear anything she was too worried and sad to function. She crawled to where Mike had jumped and she saw him floating. She looked at Dustin and Troy. Troy was on the floor with a broken arm and Dustin was looking to the right side.

"El." She whispered. Mike was being lifted off of the air. Y/n jumped to him and hugged him.

"Why did you do that?" She asked him.

"Because I care for you guys." He responded. Dustin helped Y/n get up first. She tried to walk to El but she kept stumbling so El walked towards her.

"Thank you for saving Mike." She hugged her. Eleven looked confused and she just put her hands on her back.

"You broke Troy's arm!" Dustin said amazed.

"Thank you El for saving me." Mike thanked her. She wiped the blood dripping off of her nose and smiled.
