Over the next few weeks, it was clear that Choo was happy living in the castle. When Elsa had to see to her duties, he would go into town with Anna and Olaf, or go traveling around the world with Jack. When Elsa was free, he went everywhere on her shoulder. The corner of the dining table between her and Jack was officially his place, and was always set with a tea saucer.
If Jack was sleeping with Elsa, he would sleep in his cradle. But when Jack had to leave for the night, Elsa would pick him up, and lay him on the pillow beside her. She could never say no to that "Please, Mommy!" look he would give her.
One night, as he waited in bed for her, Jack could hear Elsa singing a lullaby to Choo. "And to think, you wanted to leave him at the palace," he said as she got into bed with him.
"Well... he grew on me," said Elsa.
"You know you love him," said Jack. "I'm on to you. Admit it."
"No, I'm... I'm not admitting anything," said Elsa.
"Come on, Snowflake," said Jack. He put out a finger, and started to tickle underneath her chin. Elsa did her best to suppress her laughter, so as not to wake up Choo. "I won't stop until you admit it."
It didn't take very long for her to crack. "Okay! Okay, fine!" she said, as quietly as she could manage. Jack withdrew his finger. Elsa looked down shyly. "He's my baby."
A few days later, a letter came for Elsa from another kingdom. The King's son was getting married, and she and Anna were invited to the wedding. Almost immediately, preparations started being made for the trip. "Are you going to take Choo?" Anna asked.
"Of course!" said Elsa. "He's part of the family now." Choo nodded, and squeaked in agreement.
Anna gave a giggle. "Okay," she said. "Just remember to keep an eye on him, Elsa. We wouldn't want to lose him."
"He'll be good," said Elsa. "Won't you, Choo?" Choo squeaked again, and gave her one of his little love cuddles.
The boat ride over was very exciting for little Choo. Elsa could hardly get him to stay in one place. He was eager to see everything on the ship, and the girls didn't know how they managed to keep track of him!
