Chapter 4

When we made it back to the house, Geoff decided to pick me up bridal style and carry me inside to my bed in Tony's old room across from Maria's bed where Layne placed her as she was still fully asleep.

"Tonight was great, thank you." I smiled as Geoff laid me down on my temporary bed while Maria and I are here.

"Anytime. You were amazing up there, and the way you kept up while we were tap dancing was phenomenal. Anyways, get some sleep beautiful, we're filming tomorrow." He replied before giving me a soft kiss.

"Good night Geoff, I'm glad we were reunited after such a long time." I yawned as he covered me up with the blankets and I snuggled into my pillow.

"Good night Layla, and me too." He replied before kissing my cheek before walking away.

I instantly fell asleep, but it didn't last long as I had a nightmare that I can't remember having.

I woke up panting and in a cold sweat making me try to calm myself down. Once I was finally calm enough to get up, I looked at the time on my phone to see it was 3 am. I sighed before I got up and headed to the bathroom where I changed into pajamas and splashed cold water on my face to cool me even more. I then dried my face before going into the kitchen to see if I could find something to snack on since none of us ate dinner last night.

I finally found honey buns before I grabbed one and searched for a piece of paper and something to write with to leave a note that I took a honey bun for a late night snack. Once I found what I was looking for, I quickly wrote the note.

'Hey guys,

I ate a honey bun for a late night snack, please don't be mad, if you are I can buy some more. Thanks for everything you guys have done for us.

When I finished writing the note, I placed it on the counter before I quietly opened the honey bun and ate it before throwing the wrapper away and heading to the living room where I found a throw blanket on the back of the couch. I took it and wrapped myself up in it like a caterpillar in a cocoon. I then sat on the couch and sighed as my tiredness left me and I was left to myself in the dark.

After awhile, I heard a noise come from down the hall, but I didn't think much of it as I closed my eyes and tried going back to sleep. Then, there were footsteps, but I ignored them. Suddenly, something sat next to me making me cautiously open my eyes to find Geoff looking at me worriedly.

"Why are you out here in the dark?" He asked in a whisper so he wouldn't risk waking anyone up.

"I woke up a little bit ago in a cold sweat and couldn't go back to sleep. What are you doing up?" I replied before laying my head on his shoulder.

"I was going to check up on you, but you weren't in there, then I found your note in the kitchen, which by the way you are welcome to anything you'd like. Next I was walking back to my room when I heard you sigh in here. I couldn't see you at first, but then I made out your silhouette. Come on, I'm taking you to my room to sleep." He said making me sit up before unwrapping myself from my cocoon.

I got up and we both placed the blanket back on the back of the couch before he took my hand and led me to his room. He motioned for me to lay down as he got on the other side of the bed. I laid down next to him under the covers before snuggling into his side feeling relaxed and tired again.

"Sweet dreams beautiful." He whispered making me smile.

"Sweet dreams sexy." I replied before giving him a small good night kiss before snuggling back into his side for warmth.

We both eventually went back to sleep.

When I woke up, the sun was shining in my face making me snuggle into Geoff's chest more.

"Morning Beautiful." Geoff laughed slightly.

"Morning Sexy." I replied not moving from my comfortable spot.

"We need to wake up, we're filming today." He stated noticing I didn't want to move.

"Then you get up. I don't have to look good since Maria and I aren't in the video, we're just here to see everything being made." I replied with so much sass since I'm not a morning person. Never have been.

"I can't get up if you're on me." He commented, and I know he rolled his eyes.

I didn't reply, I just rolled over to my other side and snuggled into the pillow. I heard him sigh before he leaned over and kissed my cheek before he got up.

I got up soon after he finished getting ready making him smile before giving me a long kiss. When we pulled away, I started walking to his bedroom door when it flew open scaring the shit out of both of us.

"There you are!" Earl exclaimed as he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room making me yelp before he pushed me into mine and Maria's room. "Get dressed! We're going to Starbucks!" He stated making me huff before he slammed the door shut.

"What was that all about?" I asked Maria who was doing her makeup.

"You gave all of us a scare! We didn't know where you'd gone!" She replied before giving me a quick hug.

"I had a nightmare last night, but I don't remember what it was about. I went to the kitchen and got a honey bun before settling down in the living room. A couple hours of me just sitting in the dark with the throw around me, I started getting tired, and that's when Geoff found me. He then let me stay with him so I could sleep better." I explained as I changed in the bathroom with the door cracked some.

"Why didn't you wake me?" She asked a little hurt.

"Because you don't need to be caring for your older sister. This was my gift to you, not your gift to me." I replied as I touched up my makeup from yesterday before quickly fixing my hair.

She just sighed before walking out. I rolled my eyes and continued to fix my hair. Once I was done, I walked into my room and to my suitcase to grab my black wedge ankle boots to complete my outfit. When I finished putting them on, I grabbed my fully charged phone before I walked out to the boys questioning Geoff as to why I was in his room making me clear my throat and stand in a sassy pose ready to go off.

"Why are you questioning him? We're dating, why is it a surprise I was in his room?" I asked making them look away ashamed.

"Why didn't you leave a note or something saying you'd be in there?" Lane asked.

"Because I didn't expect to be in there after sitting on the couch for a few hours after waking up from a nightmare that I can't remember and eating a honey bun." I replied before Geoff walked up to me and took my hand before we walked out of the house making me sigh.

"Thanks for coming to my rescue babe." Geoff smiled as we got in the very back of the van.

"No problem. It was getting on my nerves." I replied as I smiled up at him.

"You didn't have to do your hair and makeup, you're beautiful without it." He said as he placed a stray piece of hair behind my ear making me blush.

"I know, thank you. I just wanted to do it." I replied before he leaned down and gave me a small kiss before pulling away and letting me lay my head on his chest right as the others started piling in the van.

When we got to Starbucks, Eli parked before we all piled out and into the cafe. We didn't stay long as we quickly ordered and waited patiently for our drinks that were finished in minutes. We then headed to where they were doing the video shoot.

After the shoot, we went back home where we got ready to go to the movies.
