Your plot can become really boring if you go just in one direction that everyone just predicts what'll happen.
Try a unique plot twist. The common ones are all where there are misunderstandings and the male lead breaking up with the female lead because he has cancer, blah blah.
But then, these plot twists are common because they actually have effect on the reader even if he/she had read it several times before.
Don't make your plot twist too unique either. If the female lead suddenly ends up loving the second lead instead (like how it happened in Dream High), readers will be disappointed and the story just turns upside down.
Make sure you plan it properly because if you change things too many times, readers will get frustrated and will eventually stop reading.
Also, don't add too many plot twists or the story becomes too much of a rollercoaster.
