(A/N: this is my first Mikey fanfic so bare with me please, you can't really tell now but Anastasia is more of the grunge type so anyway hope you like it :) )

It's the beginning of senior year, this is the best year of your life or so everyone says. Unlike most of the students I was actually excited to be back, but that was only because I haven't seen my best friend all summer. I was helping my cousin in his autobody shop and she was in the states visting her family. I leaned up against my locker and watched the other seniors greet their friends they hadn't see all summer either and the freshman, oh god the freshman, some of them look like they are about to puke which is exactly how I felt my first day of freshman year. I seemed to have zoned out because when I heard my friend, Luke's voice, I jumped.

"Hey Ana" He smiled pulling my into a quick hug, I had hung out with Luke and his friends a few times over summer since I didn't have Marina. His friends are actually pretty cool, they have a band and they're not bad. First, there's Luke, he can play guitar and sings lead, he has blonde hair that is normally in some kind of quiff and has this really big smile, he comes across as punk rock but when you actually get to know him he is really sweet. Then, there's Calum, he plays bass and sings, everyone calls him asian but really he isn't, he has black hair which is normally ruffled perfectly and big brown eyes. Then, there's Ashton, he's the drummer, he has curly, dirty blonde hair and the best laugh you could ever hear, which matches his goofy personality. Then, my favorite but I don't tell anyone that, there's Michael, he dyes his hair all the time but it's always in a fringe, he plays guitar and sometimes sings, he is a huge dork but the word that really explains him is.. hm what's a good word? Oh, soft grunge.

"Hi Luke" I smiled back and resumed my postion against the locker and he did the same next to me. I quite like the bands company, they are really funny and always goofing around.

"We've got a show tonight, you comin'?" He questions, I have gone to every show since I've known them and I plan on keeping that streak going.

"I'm always there" I turned to look at him, just then Ashton joins us.

"1962 Bar" He adds, obviously hearing our conversation. I nod smiling and give Ashton a hug. "Hey, that record we ordered last week in the record store in town came in last night, say we pick it up after school before the show?" Ashton suggested, him and I had gone shopping together to get the last couple of things we needed for school and we had ordered a Guns N' Roses record since they didn't sell it, which was odd.

"Yeah, sounds good!" I smile, I suddenly hoped Marina didn't want to make plans after school since I now had plans but I could invite her to the show but we have very different music taste. Actaully, Marina and I are the complete oppisites, maybe that's why we get along so well.

"Anastasia!" I heard Marina shout from behind me, I spun around and we collided in a huge hug. Her familiar scent hit my nose and I almost started to cry.

"I've missed you so much" I whisper pulling away, she hugs me again quickly and I can't stop smiling.

"I missed you too" She giggles, she is the girlest girl i've ever met, she's cheerleading captain and everyone loves her but we have a special place for eachother in our hearts. I pull her over to meet the boys, she gives them a suggestive look but still smiles.

"This is Marina, my best friend and Marina, this is Luke and Ashton, my close friends" I introduce them, Luke and Ashton both shake her hand awkwardly and soon a few of cheerleader come up to greet Marina. Once Calum and Michael show, the four of us get into our own conversation about the show and Marina is talking about new cheer uniforms.

"Hey Mars, they have a show tonight at 1962, wanna come along?" I interrupted the girls giggling. This is how it always is at school, I have my friends and she has hers but out of school we are almost stuck at the hip.
