"Ty'Lyla! Get your butt down here before you miss the bus!" I heard my dad yell.
"I'm coming dad!". I replied back as I gave myself one more look in the mirror, thinking maybe I'm dressing too plain for my first day at a new school. I had on a plain white V-neck, with some dark blue jeans, my red and black plaid shirt around my waist, and my white converse on my feet. My long, curly black hair was in a messy bun and I had on my nerdy glasses. I shrugged my shoulders and grabbed my backpack and jetted down the steps.
I seen my dad, Efrom, smiling and standing by the door holding my iPhone and a green apple. My dad is 34, stands at 6'3. His skin is a smooth, mocha color, and his eyes are a beautiful grey. He has a fade, and shaves any type of hair off his face. To me my father is handsome.
I grinned, "What would I do without you dad?"
He laughed and said, "Only Jesus knows baby girl. Now hurry before you're late for your first day. And have a good day. Oh, and I love you Ty." He kisses me on my forehead and pushes me out the door.
I look back and said I love you too and started walking to my bus stop.
It was the middle of October. My father and I just moved down to ATL, all the way from Texas. We're always moving around state-to-state because of my fathers job. I honestly don't know what he does, but it's good pay. I'm used to the moving around, it's just getting to know new people and making new friend I don't really enjoy. Either the females would be too stuck up or jealous of me. Not trying to sound cocky but I would be jealous of me too. I have a small, petite size at 5'2, my breast are a C-cup and perky plus my ass is huge. Like, Beyoncé huge. And I have gorgeous hair for a black girl and my skin color is light. Like a light skin. But I mostly get those things from my mother. The only thing I don't have is from her is my grey eyes which I get from my father.
My mom.. Who knows where she's been. She left me and my father when I was only 8 and I'm 17 now. A whole 9 years she's disappeared, without a call, a text, even a damn letter. Last we heard that she got remarried to some millionaire and got pregnant with twins but only to her and her husband losing all their money and she got hooked to cocaine, losing her babies. It's crazy how karma comes around. My father was devastated when she left though. But he had to be strong for me. One night I heard him crying calling my mothers name, Chryn, but I can tell he is slowly getting better. He even has a date later on today with this one woman. I'm proud of him.
As I was lost in my thoughts about my parents, I heard the bus driver honking the horn at me to get on the bus. I finally looked up and got on the bus and took the first seat behind the bus driver, not even caring who else was on the bus.
I plugged my headphones in blasting my song ChiRaq by Meek Millz. When all of a sudden I feel the seat dip a little lower. I look to the suspect who dares sit in my seat. It was some pretty dark skinned girl. I look down at her lips to see her talking. I took my right headphone out my ear.
"-Smith. I've never seen you around here before. Are you new to Willow High?" Her voice was kinda deep so be a girl. I started to think she was a transsexual.
"Yeah, I'm new here." Was my simple response.
"What's your name?"
"Ty'Lyla."
"Unique. Girl yo' outfit poppin' no joke."
I kinda laughed because my attire was boring, "Thank you.."
"Tamiaka. Didn't you hear me when I said that?"
"Nah, I had my earphones in."
"Oh well, we're here anyways. Lemme show you to the office."
