Chapter 14 - The Beginning

*Azra's P.O.V*

I wish, life will come talk to me in the form of a human, so that I can have some serious talks with it. Last night, I couldnt sleep at all. I tried everything thats possible to make me sleep but none worked. I tried turning right and left, I tried keeping a pillow on my head, I tried everything but I never got to sleep a wink. For some reason, I felt restless, like really restless. I felt like someone was in some sort of pain, but I dont know who. All along the night, my heart was beating abnormally. My tummy was doing several flip-flops making me stay wide-awake whole night. To be honest, my heart was aching. The only knowledge I had about all these was that someone was in pain.

Yeah, I gave some comfy dresses to Alexa and she slept peacefully. Before sleeping, I called Afra to make sure she was doing fine, and yes, she was having a good time. She also gave me a good news saying that she was a little bit successful at making dad understand. That made my heart warm. As usual, I called my mom, and to my surprise, she was talking to me in a calm and sweet way. Which means, she didnt know anything that happened. And then Alexa, each and every steps of her reminds me of Elena. Though she was a bitch, I treasured every little moments I had with her, just so she resembles Elena in a scary way. Before sleeping, all I got was good and happy news which made me think that I could have a peaceful sleep but everything took an opposite turn for me. I was so restless, that I even walked into Alexa's room in the middle of the night to see if she was okay, she was sleeping peacefully and there was no signs of pain in her. I called Afra and Mom in the middle of the night only to get scolded for disturbing their sleep and job. All my dear ones were perfectly fine, yet I was restless for some odd reasons.

Now its morning, and Im feeling sleepy. See, in my life, even a sleep comes with a twist. But then again, today is a big day too. Dad will be here, Mom will be here, and I also dont know when I'll get Zayn's call. Im not even going to imagine how I'll look after my sleepless night. No doubt, I'll look a zombie. I yawned and stretched before pushing the blanket off of me and got out of the bed as I made my way to the mirror. Before going to the mirror, I clamped my eyes shut with my left hand and stood infront of the mirror. Im too scared to see how I'll look. I sighed before loosening down my hands but my eyes were shut tightly. I opened one of my eyes only to gasp at the sight infront of me. I opened both my eyes to see my messy reflection in the mirror. My hair a mess, and thats not even a beautiful mess, eyes blood-shot, dark circle around my eyes, bags under my eyes, dried lips, messy t-shirt.

"Well, dont you look pleasant", I heard the 'oh so familiar' voice comment behind me making me groan. I glared at her reflection in the mirror, who was standing by the doorstep with her arms crossed and a smirk playing on her lips, "Im not in the mood Alexa", I told her and she threw her hands up in defense as she made her way towards my bed, while I was checking on my face, "Seriously though, why do you look like you just came out of the coal factory?", she asked, coal factory?, "Didnt get to sleep well last night", I answered with a yawn as she was studying me, "Who is the reason behind it?", she asked with a wink making me roll my eyes, "Shut it", I snapped at her. Im not the right person to mess with, when Im hungry or sleepy. She chuckled, "Easy there, grumpy pants", she chuckled making me smile, Im not going to say that she reminds me of Elena multiple times, just for some information, this is exactly how Elena is. Just the name, and appearance are the only difference.

Once she stopped chuckling, "On a serious note, are you in some sort of serious thoughts?", she asked making my head snap towards her to see her looking at me, how did she know?, "N-no..Im not..", I answered still looking at her making her shrug, "Whatever you say Azr-" ,"Call me Az", I told her and she sheepishly smiled at me, "I dont think we're that good friends for nicknaming each other",she informed me making me groan inwardly, "Yeah true, now out you go, I've gotta shower and present myself like a human", she laughed out loud at that before standing up, "Never in your wildest dreams", she said these lines looking at me as she disappeared outside the room. I stood like a rock, processing her words, what does those lines even mean? Did she say that because I said I wanted to look like a human? I gasped, Oh how dumb could I get? She actually meant that! I glared at the door in which she stepped outside and huffed before grabbing my towel as I made my way inside the bathroom, slamming it shut.
