"Dammit stop running, you piece of shit!" A loud voice cursed and ran after a shadowy, small figure.
The person running in front of the loud man yelped and ran even faster, jumping over a brick fence and trying to get away from the impending disaster just waiting to happen. [A/N: Kudos to whoever got that reference.]
"Stop running already!" The loud person growled and yelled angrily.
The small person ducked under a bridge and tried to make themselves unseen.
"Where is that thief?? CATCH HIM ALREADY, YOU USELESS MUTTS!" screamed enraged the loud person, letting loose two dogs.
The animals ran after the small person but didn't notice the bridge.
And so, the little thief breathed out in relief.
"I-I thought they'd catch me.." muttered a soft voice, panting slightly.
The thief put down their hood, revealing (h/c) hair, sad (e/c) eyes and a pale face. It seems like it's a girl.
[A/N: Sorry if you're a boy.. pretend, I guess..]
She ran from under the bridge and stumbled upon a small building, almost falling apart, and ran up the old stairs to a cute apartment.
She opened the door with a small key and trotted inside, throwing her dark-coloured cape in a corner.
"Man, it's tiring to constantly be on the run." She scowled and mumbled sadly.
She went into a bedroom, surprised that it was so dark in there, and tried to open the lights, failing miserably.
She 'oomph'ed and fell face-first onto a mattress.
"Oh, I didn't pay the electricity bills.." she sighed.
[A/N: Random fact, my family is pretty edgy on the money part, we'd be doomed if we didn't pay our bills. Okay Okay I'll shut up now.]
And so, she dozed off into a dreamless sleep.

"SHUT THE HELL UP!!" You screech, throwing the cheap alarm clock towards the wall, hearing it shatter and smiling contently right after.
It was pretty early, just around 4:30, pretty early for a high-schooler and pretty weird for any other human being [A/N: Besides author-chan--//slapped] that likes sleep.
You get dressed in worn-out jeans, a faded blue jacket and a black T-shirt, then put on old sneakers, fastening the laces. You look outside, noting the dark grey clouds looming in the distance, and scowl, wishing you'd have an umbrella.
You go outside, locking the door, sprint down the stairs and start walking down the small street and watching people.
You place your hands in your pockets after you tuck your head inside the hoodie, and blankly stare at the ground and the passerby's shoes.
You suddenly get all the wind knocked out of your body, and whine softly as you hit the ground, hands smacking into the cobblestone of the road.
"What the--" you squeal, trying to scamper up.
You look over you, seeing a kid, no older than 12, with brown bob-cut hair and squinted eyes, dressed in a purple and blue sweater, brown shorts and boots.
They stare at you for a bit and then start to sign to you at an alarming rate.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was running I'm sorry miss!!" They sign, an expression of pure panic on their young face.
"Chill kid, it's okay, don't get so worked up. I'm okay, just scratched a bit my hands. It's fine." You smile reassuringly towards the child.
"Are you sure?? I know someone who can heal you--" they sign, slowly calming down.
You hold up a hand, signaling them to stop, and smile.
"It's fine, really. Go on, hurry, you were running somewhere, were you not, kid? Hurry." You chuckle softly and pat their head, getting up and dusting off your clothes.
They seem to gasp and wave to you while running again, soon disappearing into the crowd.
