Dylan ~
All day I thought about Ireland, my best friend is coming to my hometown... Wait I didn't even ask why.
"Shit" I breathed and slammed my head against the desk.
"Is there a problem, fag?" some douchebag asked. "Yes! Yes there is! Ireland is coming and I don't know why!" I yelled and grabbed my bag and ran out after noticing Kayden's head lift up with a confused face.
I stood outside of the school for an hour before I saw the special navy blue truck pull up, "IRELAND!" I screamed and ran towards her, she laughed her lucky little laugh and rubbed my hair. "Hello lad," She said and hugged my waist.
"Mr. Justice, would you please care to join me in the office with your friend?" Man, the principle just ruined everything. Ireland had a smirk and a confused look on her face as we both walked into the school.
We sat in the very, very uncomfortable chairs and listened to him go on about how it was a rule to stay on school grounds. "And who is this?" He asked, that was all I heard from his mouth though. "My best, best, best, best friend, Ireland!" I beamed and grabbed her hand as she laughed. "She has no where to go, and she's finished with school at her home, so can she just follow me around, I promise she won't do anything bad."
After much pleading with the principle, he agreed to let Ireland be my puppy today.
"Who's the babe, Dylan?" Kayden asked, but Ireland was looking around without a care, "Dylan, what's that?" Ireland's voice rang through the halls and everyone shut up. "Ireland, this is Kayden. Kayden, Ireland" Kayden's eyes were huge until Angel, his whore of a girlfriend, walked over.
"Oi, someone decided they wanted the entire make-up store on their face" Ireland said snickering as soon as her eyes looked at Angel.
Kayden watched Ireland's moves, I felt like.. there was something weird here.
"Oh, Ireland, why are you here?" I asked remembering to ask, "A boy named Kayden" she replied softly looking at Kayden intensely.
OHHHHHHH, he's the Kayden she tells me about.
"Do I know you?" Ireland asked and popped her face right in front of his. I awed which pissed Angel off and she slapped Ireland.
Ireland fell back, but stood back up just as quickly.
Her Irish laugh rang through the halls, "You hit like Biddy's daughter!"
"How is Biddy?" I asked, seriously and grabbed Ireland's hands, "Oi, Biddy's wonderful, the wee tyke she has just turned 3!"
Kayden remained looking at Ireland, even after Angel stormed off.
I poked his cheek, "Kay? You going to join us to class or what?"
Kayden ~
Why do I know that voice, and that laugh, and those eye?
It couldn't be Ireland, she was stuck in Ireland working at... Biddy's shop.
"Ireland?" I whimpered and grabbed her in for a hug, "Braid my hair" she whispered as a tear fell down her cheek. I guess she knew it was me too.
Dylan whistled, "I'll be over there" he muttered and walked away.
"You can't be here" I muttered, regaining the slightest bit of my Irish accent from years ago, "you're working for Biddy with your mom and dad."
Ireland's beautiful smile reappeared on her face, "Mum and Dad miss you a lot, and so does Biddy, she has a child now, ye know? Hiccup moved to London for the photography job a few years ago."
Ireland, her parents, Biddy, Hiccup, they remembered me.
"What about your boyfriend?" I asked with hope in my eyes, she laughed, "Boyfriend? I took online school a month after you left, I haven't seen a boy since after Dylan left Ireland!"
Ireland was just full of happiness.
"KAYDEN! If you don't get your ass over here right now, I'm telling Daddy!" Lord have mercy on my soul, I heard the click of heels and then Angel appeared in my face. "Now" She huffed and grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Ireland. "Ask Dyl for my number!" I screamed at her before I was pulled into English class.
My life was back.
