Kayden ~
Days passed since the accident between Ireland and I. She seemed like someone was holding a knife to her throat, and me being around would be the death of her.
"Ireland just tell me what happened !" I screamed, everyone else (Dylan, Grayson, and Ireland's family) were out, Ireland's parents and little brother were out shopping for groceries and Dylan was looking for apartments for him and Gray.
Ireland's face was pale, she was scared, it was completely obvious. "I want you happy" I mumbled and wrapped my arms around her waist while nuzzling my face in her neck. She sighed and a droplet of water hit my face.
"Are you crying ?" I asked nervously, refusing to look up. I didn't want to see the literal love of my life crying. I couldn't. It would break me down just as much.
I felt her nod gently and then her hands slipped into my back pocket.
"I'm not normal, Kay" Ireland mumbled and fiddled with a picture I had in the back of my pocket. It was of us when we were a lot younger. "Sure you are" I replied with a hint of a smile.
Of course she's normal.
"No. I-I saw things, like, black things. I-I looked it up, the things, I call them Jefferies" I heard a sad chuckled, but kept my face in her neck. "They were in this online book with... it said demons... that every decade a child is born with a weak heart and demons try their hardest to take it over. Usually, the child dies by the age of 20 for 'unknown reasons'. I looked up my birth and saw a picture on Facebook on Angel's mom's- my mom's- profile. No one noticed the Jefferies but me, and I'm pretty sure them, they had a feared look on their face, but smiled none-the-less. I'm not who you want to be with Kayden" Ireland said quietly. I removed my head from her neck and glanced into her beautiful eyes.
"You are who I want to be with. You're who I need to be with" I whispered and let my hand cradle her cheek which was slightly wet from I'm guessing tears.
There's no way Ireland was a demon, or wanted by demons. She's perfect.
